Introduction
The development of writing has been a leap in the cultural development of human beings,
as in their psychological development. Its appearance marks the end of prehistory and with
it the history of humanity begins to be written. Likewise, its appearance in the child's
development marks the beginning of the child's psychological development at higher levels.
The present work aims to show the way in which humanity reached the development of
writing, and then go on to unravel the neuropsychobiological processes that intervene in it,
allowing to outline the development process in the child of the processes that intervene in
the acquisition of writing, emphasizing the development of writing as a written language.

General objective
It consists of promoting and developing research on the processes of reading and writing to
contribute to the knowledge of their problems in the different areas of knowledge and make
proposals to improve the teaching, learning and research processes.

Specific objectives.
 Characterize the role of reading and writing as integral learning practices in the
disciplines.
 Inquire about the demands of reading and writing - specific ways of reading and
writing - in the different disciplines.
 Identify and describe the conceptions that teachers have about reading and writing
and the role they assign to them in the practices they promote.
 Characterize students' reading and writing practices and the role assigned to them.
 Characterize the texts that are read and written in the disciplines: discursive features
of the different academic communities.
 Develop and promote pedagogical practices that, from the metacognitive point of
view, articulate reading, writing and the construction of knowledge in an integral
way.
 Promote the need for teachers of the different disciplines to promote reading and
writing practices in accordance with the learning demands of their discipline.
