also if we find out that we need (or if you want) official build with BuildMachines.txt replace
>tools\razzle free offline (or 'tools\razzle offline' for debug)
step with
>Put your branch name (I use "master") in x:\nt\sd.map as:
>BRANCH xf86fre master
>(Not sure what the middle field is; could be for something else).
>then in \nt\tools\BuildMachines.txt put
>COMPUTERNAME,primary,master,x86,fre,
>(with the final comma). Razzle can be called as:
>tools\razzle.cmd free officialbuild

likely not needed though, and this version is pretty rough (leaves out things like how to get
COMPUTERNAME and location for BuildMachines.txt)
I will rewrite it soon.

checked bits are currently little broken, for example it is necessary to add -DDBG=0 for
\windows\core\cslpk\lpk as the USP debugging components are missing from the tree.

It is also worth to note that checked bits will be slower and official ISOs are harder to trace (for missing files);
might be better to use
>free ChkKernel offline
which will build semi-free bits (only kernel is checked)

yeah but that leak isn't full, and afaik is missing a lot of the userspace.
i'm mostly okay with a partially binary userspace but the problem is that makes porting to x64/efi as a
platform a lot harder because things that go from 'we can leave it until we can replace it' go to 'we need to
replace it for the system to actually really run at all'.
also while i'm at it:
- the build tools are timebombed?
- does anyone have any ideas on like, intergrating all the source so that we can build versions of windows
with older userspaces for the feel of various OSes, but with one solid kernel as to deduplicate preservation
work?

really what we need is kernel32 and ntdll patches, which aren't particularly hard work once you have the
source. all efforts previous have been binary patching, and that's piss-hard and makes every call a chore by
default.
if we get things right we can expand driver support to at least wddm 1.0 and modern NDIS and that'll be like,
most of the work already done. UWP apps are pointless shitstains and i don't see them ever catching on.
win32 will rot on forever, but that makes our work a lot easier.

i know you're going to just argue to infinity so i'm not going to respond again but a lot of the work done by
wine is replicating windows internal infrastructure and converging closer and closer to how it's "actually
done". a lot of wine stuff comes to the problem of Yes It Works But It The Actual Infrastructure Is So Different
As To Make It Painful. because we're starting with windows already doing the individual pieces of dirty work
to make each syscall happen isn't going to be nearly as painful as doing the reverse engineering to figure
out how the pieces interact properly.
it's like the whole fakedll disaster where moderate differences in how wine implements kernel services
require massive hacks because they can't replicate this shit just by the nature of wine being in userspace
and applications relying on these details.
and at the end of the day, it's fun, so why the fuck not?

I think it's unlikly the xp version was completely rewritten from scratch and even if it was the same
team/person wrote the nt3.5-nt40 version so the same ideas will be contained in the older version giving
hints to the XP version and changes can be discovered with disassembly of the RTM versions.

This is due to some of the tools being 16-bit, which does not run on x64. The 16-bit tools compile the
bootloader, WOW subsystem, and various other little bits.

That insane tranny invaded linux and sjws have now infiltrated it.
Linus went to a "sensibilization camp" and he doesn't insult people as much and as strongly like in the past.

I like this one

WTFPL is a GPL-compatible[1] permissive license most commonly used as a free software license. As a
public domain like license, the WTFPL is essentially the same as dedication to the public domain.[2] It allows
redistribution and modification of the work under any terms. The title is an abbreviation of "Do What The
Fuck You Want To Public License".
