2. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This section describes the basic reason why the role exists.

PEM Role :

1) PEM for LPG CCPL Mundra – Kandla project. Handling overall engineering responsibilities with
looping all the disciplines.

2) Act as a focal point for Coordinating with consultants and contractors towards effective project
drafting.

3) Review Weekly progress schedules to identify slippages, determine causes and recommend
recovery strategies and actions.

4) To liaise with procurement and material management team to ensure the project material delivery
are in same time as per planned schedule.

5) Monitor Project Progress ensuring compliance with pre-defined procedures for Management of
Change (MOC)

6) Handling responsibilities to handle project that cover Pipeline/Piping & Mechanical Packages.

7) Monitoring and controlling the Interface of all user/client requirements being done by all disciplines
like Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Electrical & Instrumentation, Utility, including operational and
maintenance, coordination of execution of various levels of engineering (concept, basic and
detailed).

8) Providing the inputs to the consultant coordinating with user as per the requirement.

9) Coordinating engineering meetings among all stakeholder divisions along with Estimation
&Commercial dept.

10) Tracking Forecasted dates; agreed points on MOM’s to ensure timely communications with all stake
holders for no lacuna.

As Piping Lead role & responsibilities:

1) Overall responsibility for Pipeline & Piping deliverables like Pipeline Design specifications, MTO
calculations, PMS, Data sheets, Piping GADs, Stress analysis reports, Isometrics etc. from
consultants.

2) Resolving the site quires for all the liquid projects where ever required during the phase of
construction.

3) Participation in Hazop, Hazid and onsite intervention while design and site visit.

 4) Preparation of BOQ for the proposal projects. Optimization of the scope document through business
requirement.

5) Document. Preparation of piping specifications and data sheets. Review of piping vendor
drawings and final engineering deliverables.
