This Installation, Operation & Maintenance Manual contains useful information regarding the transformer’ functions and ‘operating procedures as well as precautions that should be observed during use. To ensure proper uise of the transformer, please read this manual thoroughly before operation. Keep this manual hhandy for quick reference whenever a question arises. ORTATION 4.1 The transformer can be transported by train, ship, truck or plane. The vehicle should be kept clean and relatively free of dust 4.2 The transformer should be secured to the vehicle, Swing ing, jarring or shifting during transportation should be avoided 4.3 Supplementary accessories, parts, and delivery document are packaged separately and delivered together withthe transformer for transformers without erating 4.4 Products without crating should be scoured to the vehicle by binding through the holes in Wheels, clamps or lifting lugs. Binding on the c Is, insulators, supporting blocks or eables is strictly prohibited. 4.5 Angle of inclination for transportation must be less than 30 4.6 Stacking of transformers is not allowed during transportation 1 storage. Use wood Jocks not less than 100mm high to support the transformer during transit at port or storage at destination. 7 gli Ss BL ISUNTEN ACCEPTANCE EXAMINATION Inspection should be carried out imme: ely following transformer on-site delivery. The following items are tobe checked! 5.1 Whether parameters on the nameplate conform to those indicated in the contruct, for example typenno,,ruted voltage, connection symbol, impedance voltage, ete 5.2 Whether delivery documents are complete. 5.3 Whether assembly parts packed with transformer comply with the packing list. 5.4 Whother any damage or misalignment has oceurred during transportation; whether any connections have become loose or cracked: whether insulation layers are damaged; whether there are any forcign objects or dirt. In addition, remove wooden spacers used for transportation, ifany. 5.5 Re-pack the transformer after inypection unless it will be commissioned immediately, and store itn a safe weatherproof location to avoid damage or theft. If serious damage is found on the packaging or product, inform the transportation company and insurance company immediately and protect the goods from further handling until the problem is mutually resolved. 6.1 If temporary storage is necessary, the erating should not be dismantled. If it is dismantled for acceptance inspection, repackaging should be done afterwards. 6.2 For storage for a longer period, the transformer should be stored in w warehouse, whieh is clean, dry, and free of chemical or corrosive materials. 6.3 The transformers must not be stacked, 6.4 For temporary outdoor storage. transformer should he put on wooden spacers atleast 100mm high, Gorey ft PAE NPV AMGEN) e 7.1 Study the instruetion, nameplate and overall dimensional drawings as well as <<99D268Dry Type Transformer Installation Drawings >> carefully belore installation Prepare the necessary lifting equipment and tools according to the weight of transformer and the installation requirements 2! The transformer should be kept at least 300mm away from walls and other equipment luring installation, Transformers installed side by side should have at least 300mm elearanee 7.3 {The minimum safe distanee between conductors and ground should conform to EC76-3-1 {POWER TRANSEORMERS-INSULATION LEVELS AND DIELECTRIC TEST- EXTERNAL CLEARANCES IN AIRY standards 7.4 The minimum safe distance between the I1V coil and ground is listed as follows: HY voltage oxy | tov | iskv | zoey | 3skv Net distanee (mm) 40 6 90 120 60 7.8 ! Normnally, the transformer can be positioned immediately at service site and be put into operation after installation and inspection. If the transformer must be fastened in place for shock proofing or if there are other special requirements, bolts should be embedded into the foundation. The position of the bolts should be in line with the installation holes of the transformer according to outline drawings. To secure the transformer, remove the wheels and bolt the transformer to the foundation, 7.6! INSPECTION PRIOR TO OPERAGIOM 8.1! Check whether any fixed parts and connections have become loose. Re-tighten them if necessary, Do not over-tighten copper screws; their threads are easily damaged. 8.2! Check whether all parts assembled after transport are in good condition and whether any alien objects have become lodged inside the transformer (especially the air ducts). If excessive dust has accumulated, cleat it in accordance with paragraph 11.2. 8.3! Check whether the fans, temperature control devices, and other accessories function normally. Pay attention (o the direction of rotation of the fans if there isa three-phase power source, Normally air is blown up into the coil from the bottom. If not, the phase sequence of the power source should be changed, Reler to the co: Wg system instructions for details. For temperature control and indicati system and other accessories, wire connection should be done according to the instructions. Test the connection to sec if it complies with the connection symbol, os Z 9.3 Check to see that the transformer enclosure and the core are solidly earthed. 9.4 Test coil insulation resistance, which under normal conditions (temperature: 20~30°C humidity below 90%) should meet the following requirements: HV to LV and earth = 300Mo. The peak switching inrush current could reach 10 times the rated current. The fast motion protection set value should be higher than the switehing inrush current 04 1 When first switehing on, avoid heavily loading the transformer: Beginning with a light load and increasing to 4 heavy load is recommended. While switching on check for any abnormal noises. 10.5 Overload operation ofthe transformer should comply with IEC9DS_ (LOADING GUIDE FOR DRY-TYPE POWER TRANSEORMERS) standards or the over-Ioad curve in our Technical Manual. eee ‘he transformer can be switched on immediately after a period of service interruption. MAINTENANCE: Periodical inspections and maintenance on a transformer are important to ensure that it functions properly. LLL!
