8. INSPECTION PRIOR TO OPERAGIOM
8.1! Check whether any fixed parts and connections have become loose. Re-tighten them if
necessary, Do not over-tighten copper screws; their threads are easily damaged.
8.2! Check whether all parts assembled after transport are in good condition and whether any
alien objects have become lodged inside the transformer (especially the air ducts). If
excessive dust has accumulated, cleat
it in accordance with paragraph 11.2.
8.3! Check whether the fans, temperature control devices, and other accessories function
normally. Pay attention (o the direction of rotation of the fans if there isa three-phase power
source, Normally air is blown up into the coil from the bottom. If not, the phase sequence of
the power source should be changed, Reler to the co:
Wg system instructions for details. For
temperature control and indicati
system and other accessories, wire connection should be
done according to the instructions.

Lis necessary to do the following tests before switching on:
R WORKS
9.1 Test the DC resistance of windings at all tapping positions.
9.2 Do the polarity test according to IEC standard and test the voltage ratio at all taps. Test the
connection to sec if it complies with the connection symbol,
os
Z
9.3 Check to see that the transformer enclosure and the core are solidly earthed.
9.4 Test coil insulation resistance, which under normal conditions (temperature: 20~30°C
humidity below 90%) should meet the following requirements:
HV to LV and earth = 300Mo. Instrument: 2500¥ megameter
LV tocarth 2 100MO Instrument: 2500V megameter
Mn surroundings with high humidity, insulation resistance will decrease. If it exeeeds 2M
for every 1000V rated voltage (read at Imin, 25), it satisfies operational requirements,
However, if the transformer gets extremely wet, it must be pre-dried hefore switching
on or before the withstand voltage test is applied regardless of the resistance value,
prp.97 79.5 Test core insulation resistance, which under normal conditions (temperature: 2
humidity below 90%) should meet the Following requirements
Core to clumps and earth 2M 2 Instrument: 2500V megameter
