The Best News Ever

The first sentence of this chapter says that there are two things that no one can
look in the eye and not go mad, the glory of God and the evil of humanity. There were a
series of war happened in our existence, many of them were killed, others were crushed
by political suppression, and others have died because of the different ethnic conflicts.
The twentieth century was considered as the most murderous and the most evil of the
whole century.

The World War II is an example of this evil war. Like in Auschwitz, it is where the
concentration camp was located and many people have suffered and died. There were
also lucky people who escaped from this kind of tragedy because of the help of some
courageous people from Le Chambon-sur-Lignon. The Le Chambon considered as the
rainbow during that time as it reminds that God and the life of man is precious to God,
that God offers a promise that living will have the last word, not killing.

Have you also think that evil can lead us to God? The evil that we are talking
about mirror for us. It simply shows our world, us in particular, that are doing such
things. We are eaten by these evil and hardened our heart that we don’t mind evil as
much. But when good news cracks the heart, we are surprised by the true goodness of
it. This true goodness can also be the people around us or the beauty of nature but the
ultimate true goodness is God himself.1
