Truth or Nothing

Kenneth Clark was an author, journalist, the youngest director of National

Gallery. He was admired by so many people in his generation as he “bring art to the
masses”. Even though he was famous and successful in his career there was still a
miserable experience that had happened to him during his childhood. When it comes to
his workmates, no one knows what Clark thinks, they don’t really know him that much.

Given the fact that his mother was sexually inhibited, his mother never laughs or
shows any emotion. That is why Clark focused more on the appreciation of nature, art,
and the conviction that civilizations can’t survive without its spiritual roots.

When it comes to his religion, he admitted that he was reading a lot of religion
books and later on went to a church. There, he felt a great enjoyment that he never felt
before and feel connected and it lasted for months. But eventually it faded away,
including the happy moments was slowly erasing in his mind. With that, he was sure
that he felt the finger of God. Before he dies, he went to the Father and told him “Thank
you Father! You have done for me what I have been waiting.”

We can clearly see that before he leaves this planet, he was able to know himself
and find the answers in all his questions in life. He had held the hand of God before it
was too late.1
