2020 Angel Tree Registration Information

Due to COVID-19 precautions, applications for the Angel Tree will be taken
ONLINE for this season on any internet enabled computer or device at
SAAngelTree.org
September 28 thru October 9, 2020, or until we reach the maximum number of applications available

You will be asked to provide your name, valid telephone number, email address, the zip code and
information about other members of your household.
For children “Angels” who will be 13 or younger on or before 12/31/20, you will enter:
 Needs - items needed for education, specific clothing items, personal care, etc.
 Wishes - specific toys, sports equipment, games, etc.
 Genre/Favorites (include any sports teams, children’s TV characters, etc., book series, etc.
 Special concerns - This information will be noted publicly on the child’s Angel Tag, so please do
not include private information you do not wish others to see
 Child’s clothing sizes - indicate which type of size and include only the sizes of the clothing your
child needs. If he/she needs a jacket, type the word “jacket” beside the size you enter for coat.

Please have ALL of the following documents gathered before you begin your application.
If you are using your smart phone to apply, you can take photos of the documents and upload them. If
you are using a computer, you will need to scan the documents first, and then upload them.

Please be sure to click the yellow “UPLOAD” button after taking a picture with your phone or selecting a
document from your computer files. You may upload multiple photos or documents for each required
document as needed. If you don’t receive SNAP/Food stamps, you may upload something stating “N/A.”

REQUIRED ITEMS TO APPLY

 For the applicant:   Government issued photo ID; upload one of the following:
o State issued Driver's License or Government Issued I.D. with photo
o Passport
 Proof of Date of Birth for each child who will be age 13 or younger on or before December 31st, upload
one of the following:
o Birth Certificate
o Passport
o Government, school or health document that states the child's birthdate
 Proof of Address in the name of the adult applicant – upload one of the following showing the address:
o house/apartment lease
o mortgage coupon
o utility bill (water bill, gas bill, electric bill, cable bill) that is current or less than 2 months old)
o Letter from a Sarasota County school for the 2019/20 school year that includes the applicant's
address
 Proof of monthly income for the ENTIRE household.   (GROSS INCOME for the last 30 days prior to
your appointment, or from Sept 1 to Sept 30, 2020)
o If receiving SNAP benefits, you may upload the letter/statement showing that you are currently
eligible for benefits.
