HEALTH & PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLINICAL HANDBOOK Fall 2020

Overview
The Clinical Experience Handbook is designed to provide guidelines and protocols specific to
teacher candidates in Clinical Experience in health and physical education. Please carefully
review all information pertaining to this culminating field experience
The handbook begins with the clinical requirements teacher candidates must complete prior to
their first day of teaching. The subsequent section describes each component, including general
professional responsibilities; weekly logs; observations and interviews; lesson plans; and school
involvement projects. Teacher candidates will be required to create an electronic portfolio,
which provides evidence of how their clinical responsibilities were satisfied, face to face (F2F)
and or virtual platform/format.

Graduates of this teacher preparation program will demonstrate:
