1. Write a verse of the he Quran about fasting.

Ans. Allah says, “O you who Believe! The fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to them before
you in order for you to become Muttaqi (righteous).” (Al-Baqarah 2:183)

2. What is the main purpose of fasting?

Ans. The main purpose of fasting is to make us Muttaqin by keeping fasts. It makes us discipline and
punctual.

3. What are the reasons for paying Zakah?

Ans. The reasons for paying Zakah are:

 The Zakah is a Rukn (Pillar), of Islām

 Giving the Zakāh purifies our wealth and makes it grow.
 By sharing the blessings of Allāh with others we show them our love and concern.
 By paying Zakah we can make a poverty free society.
