No. 1150R1-001-RR-GD-MT-055213-01-00 Below the response to Submittal Ref. # 1150R1-001-RR-GD-MT-055213-01-00 - Materials and Sample Submittal for Barrier Steel Handrail - + Code (C) Revise and Resubmit. 1 - Product test reports according to ASTM E 894 and ASTM E 935 standards as per project specifications jrequirements are required . 2- Calculation sheets for all steel elements ( horizontal pipe, brackets, bolts, anchor bolts, etc.) should be lattached . 3 - Based upon sample preview the followings were noticed : a-4M 10 STEEL /HEX HEAD at each side (TOTAL NO 8) is required as per shop drawing, whilst bracket sample is only 4 No for two sides . b - Required steel brackets height is 310 mm whilst provided sample is 300 mm . c- Required steel pipe thickness is 3.2 mm, whilst provided sample is 3.0 mm d- End cap dimension doesn't match with steel pipe, embedded length not satisfactory, bad fabrication sample . 4- Attached justification letter to use steel sheet 3.00 mm for the steel pipe instead of 3.2 mm as per design drawings is not accepted and should be supported with calculation sheets for review - 5 - Samples for each type of exposed finish are required for verification . 6 - Mock up showing all cases STRAIGHT AND CURVATURE is required . 7 - Compliance sheet with ASTM standard in accordance with project specifications is required . 8 - Shop drawings based upon existing site condition are required . 9 - Submittal should include detailed data for the finishing in accordance with project specifications . 10 - Area of application inside MFRR project should be identified .
