Sal woke up feeling very ______________ because today was a big day! All of Sal’s
friends were coming over for a picnic, and she couldn’t wait.

But then Sal looked outside and saw that it was raining. Sal didn’t want to have a
picnic in the rain! Sal felt like crying because she was so ______________.

Suddenly, Sal began to think of everything that could go wrong. How would she
let her friends know that the picnic was cancelled? What would she do with all of
the food? She was getting ______________.

Then Sal clenched her fists and stomped around. She was ______________ that
she wouldn’t get to have a picnic with her friends. “This isn’t fair!” she yelled. She
stomped and stomped.

After awhile she began to calm down, and then Sal started to feel very heavy and

The next thing Sal knew, there was a knock at her door. She pulled the blanket
