Portfolio Artifact Description: Can O your town – Using tools for drawing that is readily

available to most people to make a can that depicts what attracts people to the town of which you

live in or on any other topic the student wishes to discuss.

What I learned: That it sure does take a lot of effort to make even the simplest and bare bones of

cans. I do appreciate can design more now for some reason. I did learn how to use various

shapes, sizes, lines, tools and etc. in combination to make a project that shines compared to using

only one such tool.

Standard #6 6b: Students create original works or responsibly repurpose or remix digital

resources into new creations.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: I think that doing homework that the student can

easily get invested to and put their memories and emotions into like this project works well. On a

normal assignment I would get bored, but I feel it is human nature to share what we feel and

experience. I also learned that I should teach my students one thing at a time then do an

assignment like this that tests the culminated education that I have been teaching them so far.

Maybe with math problems that uses most or all of the topics I taught throughout the year.
