Portfolio Artifact Description: Music in you - Using tools for writing that is readily available to
most people to make an imitation song that serves to be educational.

What I learned about song writing: I am not one of the most mathematical singers, less yet a
singer or a mathematician. I feel like I would have done better had I remembered a bunch of
mathematical sounding words. I learned that making your students do something that can be too
out of reach of their abilities can make them not bring out their best. I may not be the best at
writing, but I feel all of us can adapt by learning. Music however seems a moot point. That is
why if I am to teach a lesson I have to ask if this is suitable for everyone and especially for my
students.

What I learned about my Multiple Intelligence results: I tend to be a talkative person but only
when I have a good topic or someone initiates a conversation. I feel like my results are somewhat
wrong but it’s understandable because of it’s lack of depth. I am a kind of 50-50 person where I
always leave what I want to do to someone else because I enjoy everything moderately if that
makes sense.

ISTE National Educational Technology Standards for STUDENTS: (NETS)*S Addressed:

Standard 1 1a: Students articulate and set personal learning goals, develop strategies leveraging

technology to achieve them and reflect on the learning process itself to improve learning

outcomes.
Application of Skills Learned for the Future: I would not make my students make a song, like
ever. I feel though that students should try to be more creative in class. Maybe I will use a
Multiple Intelligence style of projects where the students can pick their own style as long as it
adheres to the multiple intelligences in a way and it all has a common goal. Such as explaining a
math problem which can be done through art pieces, songs, or anything really.
