Please keep this manual for future reference. © Follow the following instructions for panel's use. Miss-operation or manipulation against the specified instructions would not make the air conditioner achieve the requirement and cause hazardous conditions. The useful information WARNING: © Please check if there is any shipping damage on the unit before accepting the product. © Please claim compensation to transport comp- any in writing at once, if there is any damage in either appearance or interior © Please check the accessory model and quantity. 2.Before Installation Name _ Quantity | Use Bolt (M6X50) Fix the 4 q panel — _/\warninc Please put the panel on the buffered upholder to prevent scratch after it is taken out. © Accessories supplied by manufacturer: Please check the required accessories for panel installation Note: The bolts are packaged in the bag of main unit. 3.Installation 3.1 Position of Mounting Feet Please make sure the mounting feet of the indoor unit is 115-120mm higher than the ceiling, Plea: manual of “Multi-connected Air Conditi- se the installation oner”. 3.2 Take off the return grill Step 1: Open and rotate the return grill around 45°to the panel. Please do not try to draw the return grill out when it is at 90°to panel, ial YORK BY JOHNSON CONTROLS VRE Air-Conditioner Step2: Hold the return grill at the angle afore- mentioned in step I and take down the cloth sling from panel frame. Step3: Move the return grill and take it down. 3.3 Install the panel Step1: Pull up the corner cover according to the arrow direction in the figure below Figure 3.2 Step 2: Unlock the suspended cloth sling showed in figure below. Cloth sling Figure 3.3 Step3: Please align the sides marked “PIPING SIDE” and “DRAIN SIDE” with the indoor unit sides of piping and drainage separately. Step4: Hang the panel on the indoor unit on corresponding corners by clips temporarily. (Two hangers) Comer Figure 3.4 Steps: Last, fix the panel on the mounting feet of indoor unit by bolts (M6x50). Figure 3.5 Step 6: Fix the bolts and make sure there is no gap between the mounting feet of indoor unit and the fixed seat of the panel, Need to screw the bolts tight. See the marked symbol of » figure below. It will cause airflow leak or moisture condensation if gap is there. Bracket Figure 3.6 ——/\warnIna The undesirable condition would occur if the bolts for panel are not tightened inappropriate. Please ensure the thickness of insulation is around 9-12mm. 1 ss Figure 3.7 ial YORK BY JOHNSON CONTROLS VRE Air-Conditioner Ifthere is an obvious gap between the ceiling and the panel with tightened bolts, se adjust the indoor unit height $ we / Figure 3.8 After the panel is fixed well, the height of indoor unit can be adjusted by wrench directly through the opening at the corner of panel. Figure 3.9 ‘lease make sure the indoor unit is in horizontal when adjusting the indoor unit so as not to cause water leak out of the drain pan. Do not use your hand to twirl the wind deflector (gray plastic part), otherwise it would cause damage on the driving mecha- nism of the wind deflector. Otherwise, the wind deflector would not swing. 5.Test Run Please turn on the indoor unit to try test run after panel installation is completed. 6.Adjust The Wind Deflector Wire Controller Operation Step 1: Turn on the power. Step 2: The screen of wire controller lights. Step 3: Press the touch key unit elect then select © _ press {QJ} to open the Step 4: Wind deflector swings automatically. Remote Controller Operation: Step 1: Turn on the power. Step 2: Press button “Mode”, select “Fan” then press “ON”. Step 3: Wind deflector swings automatically —/\caution ————. The position of wind deflector showed in controller may not same with real posi tion. Even if the wind deflector would not stop immediately after the button is pressed, the wind deflector may swing one more time. CHAPTER 2 USER GUIDE 1,Safety Considerations We hope you read this guide carefully and understand all functions before you use the unit so as not to cause any fault by improper operation: © This kind of air conditioner is classified as “the equipment of the general public is not easy to close to”. © The manual classifies the safety informa- tion to two grades, WARNING and CATUION. Please comply with both of the two items that are very important to ensure safety. If air conditioner cannot operate in either cooling or heating, refrigerant may leak. Please contact service agency. The refrigerant used in air conditioner is safe and does not leak normally. In case when the refrigerant leaks, toxic gas will produced after the refrigerant get in touch with the fire- works of heater or electric stove. Please put out the fire and ventilate the room. After it is confirmed that service people have repaired the leakage, please try test run again, Please contact service agency if it is neces- sary to take the unit down and reinstall it Improper installation would cause water leakage, electric shock or fire. 2.Daily Maintenance WARNING: © The maintenance shall be performed by professional service people only. © Must cut off all power supply prior to cont- act the junction devices. ® Please do not use inflammable material around the products. (like hairspray or pesticide) © Do not use organic solvent, like paint thinner, to clear the product. It may cause crack, electric shock or fire. ® Accessories shall be installed by profes sional. The accessories must be specified by company. Otherwise, it will cause uni fault. © Need to clean the filter more often when the air conditioner is used in dusty environm- ent.(One time every half year) Step 1: Open the return grill. Refer to what figure 2.3 shows, press and hold on the two buttons on the return grill, then pull the return grill out slowly.(Same steps to close the return grill) ial YORK BY JOHNSON CONTROLS VRE Air-Conditioner Figure Step 2: Take down the Follow the frequencies (1) and (2)to operate. Take it down from the grill Step 3: Clean the air filter. ——/\ caution ———— © Do not use water higher than 50°C to clean the unit so as not to cause color fading and deformation. © Do not dry the filter by fire. It will burn the filter. @Please use vacuum cleaner to remove the dust, Figure 2.5 @Or use water to remove the dust. Use soft brush and neutral detergent to clean filter if there is much dust. a cv a J Figure 2.6 Step 4: Install filter. Please refer to step 2. Step 5: Close the return grill. Uplift the return grill lightly, can put it on panel carefully. Please refer to step 1. ——/\ caution © The sling must be in position when close the return grill. Figure 2.7 Make sure the sling does not stick out the return grill. 2) Clean the return grill Step 1: Open the return grill Please refer to step 1 of chapter “air filter cleanness”. Step 2: Take down the cloth slings. Take down the two slings on the panel frame. ial YORK BY JOHNSON CONTROLS VRE Air-Conditioner Step 5: Clean the return grill. CAUTION Do not use water higher than 50°C to clean the unit so as not to cause color fading and deform- ation. Please use soft mane brush and neutral detergent or water to clean. When unit is in cooling operation or it is turned off, the rustle can be heard because the drain pump is working. It is normal. C. When unit is turned off from heating mode, clink can be heard because the plastic expands with heat and contracts with cold. D. Low rustle and grunt can be heard when the indoor unit is turned off, because system makes a little refrigerant cycle around the stopped indoor in order to prevent lubrication oil and refrige- rant from being blocked in the unit when other units are on, 2. Itis normal sound caused by the variation of the frequency of outdoor compressor if the indoor operation sound is changed. © The aforementioned value will be changed with technique is improved.
