Introduction The first one in our presentation is , I think some of you are familiar
with.
Slide 1 This is the Diplomat Hotel or the Dominican Hill retreat house.
Located in Baguio, Philippines. It use to be a rest house and a
seminary way back 1911 before it was developed into a school and
eventually, a hotel. During the World War II, numerous nuns and
priests were beheaded here. This is believed to be the reason why
headless apparitions can often be seen during the night inside of the
hotel.
Slide 2 Next is Mangkukulam , witches or summoners of death, this is
explained as ordinary human beings who possesses black magic
powers and like to torture and kill their victims by infesting their
bodies. I do believe here, because I saw my Mom once suffered from
this magic and trust me, watching someone who is a victim of kulam
is enthralling.
Slide 3 The next was established in 1964 for 6 million dollars. The trauma
and deaths from world war II add to the eerie spirit and feeling you
get once you pass through gate. This is a favorite among ghost
hunters as it said to have housed the most tragedy and death, many
who have vowed to never return because it was so terrifying. Many
report that they hear someone screaming “ Help me! I don’t want to
die”
Slide 4 Next is the Chop chip lady. It refers to Lucila Lalu’s body whose
remains are chopped into inappropriately smaller pieces. Her case
was highly sensationalized, given it happened in 1960’s. Her legs
found first chopped into 4 pieces, and then a day later her body ,
which is headless and legless was found. The police surmised that
the murderer is someone familiar with knives- a butcher, or a
surgeon or at least a pre-med student.
Slide 5 Next in line is the invisible city. The atlantis and El Dorado of the
Philippines. It is located at Samar between the towns of Gandara,
Tarangan, and Pagsanhan. Biringan in waray means “ hanapan ng
mga nawawala”. And according to lore, biringan is a place where
engkantos live. It is apparently known to the locals, but mystery for
those trying to find it. They believe that once you enter the city you
will be lure to its beauty and grand life, and you will never go back
to the real world once entering it.
Slide 6 The action of transporting someone or something . A folk legend
holds that in October 1593 a soldier of the Spanish empire was
mysteriously transported from Manila to the Plaza Mayor in Mexico
City. There were Spaniards and Filipino witnesses saying that they
saw Perez in Manila while attending their mission. And in Spain
Perez was able to answer all the queries of what happened in
Manila that time. Do you believe about what happened to Perez? It
is ur decision now.
Slide 7 Haunted infrastructure is often believed to bear a tragic past and the
Manila Film Center is no exception. On November 17, 1981 at
around 3 am, scaffolding on the 4th floor collapsed and workers were
trapped in the quick drying cement. For fear that the accident cause
the scandal, there was a media blackout. The Manila film center
continue to build with some of the worker’s dead body remains.
They say that you can hear voices in the walls of it.
Slide 8 Next is the exorcism or the expulsion or attempted expulsion of a
supposed evil spirit from a person or a place. This is Clarita
Villanueva who held against her will when a police suspect she has
been possessed by a demon. Clarity said in news that she was being
bitten by two men every night, the one is tall and the other is a short
man. Pictures from the actual body of the girl proves that she was
telling the truth.
Slide 9 Haunted campus series. Given the grim history of Ust as a war
internment camp, it’s no wonder that the 400-year-old university
has been the home for the spookiest stories and urban legends.
There were stories in the UST Hospital, in the elevator, The saint
raymud’s building , where believed that there is a girl ghost that
back then committed suicide. And in the Main building restroom
where it has been said that a female student hung herself in one of
the cubicles. There was also creepy sighting in the CCTVs in the
campus. Like moving chairs, and Human form shadows.
Slide 10 The Viszconde murder case, colloquially known as the Vizconde
Massacre, was the multiple homicide of members of the Vizconde
family on June 30 1991 at their residence in BF homes, Paranaque
City. There were multiple of knife stabs uncountable, and the 18
years old women was also raped. Recalling after 19 years the justice
for this killings is not yet served. That is all thank you, next is my
partner Nazli.
