MBA Distance and MBA (Executive) Distance mode

The information below is meant only for students of MBA Distance mode course and MBA (Executive)
Distance mode course, who had registered for the examination that was held in November-December 2010.

VERY IMPORTANT:

1. This notice is not applicable to students who had not registered for the examination held in November-
December 2010. Such students are not eligible to register for the examinations to be held in April / May
2011 now and can register only in June-July 2011 for the examinations to be held in October /
November 2011. Forms submitted by such students will not be accepted.

Fresh registrations are open only for Semester II and Semester IV examinations to be conducted in
April/May 2011, provided the student had registered for the examination conducted in November-
December 2010, for the previous Semester I or Semester III as applicable. Fresh registrations are not
open for Semester I or Semester III.

A student of Semester I or Semester III who had registered for the examination conducted in November-
December 2010, can register afresh for Semester II or Semester IV as the case maybe, even if
he/she has failed in all subjects of Semester I or Semester III or has remained absent for the examination
conducted in November-December 2010.

It should be noted that, the present students of Semester I, can register for Semester III in June-July 2011
provided they clear 12 or more subjects [ out of the total of 16 compulsory subjects ] of MBA Part I {
Semester I and Semester II combined }.

Students of other semesters, who had registered for examinations conducted in November-December
2010 for repeat examinations and / or for improvement may also register for the examinations to be
conducted in April/May 2011.

In case of any doubts such students may also contact, the MBA Co-Ordinators at the addresses and
telephone numbers given below, before submitting the registration form.

2. Important Dates:

Registration without late fee: January 31, 2011.


Registration with a late fee of Rs. 50/-: February 10, 2011.
Registration with a super late fee of Rs. 350/-: February 21, 2011.

Registration after February 21, 2011 will not be accepted.

The late fees mentioned above are in addition to the fee schedule as detailed below.

3. It is the student’s responsibility to submit to Shivaji University, Kolhapur along with the printed
copy of online form with all relevant documents as per the checklist provided, on or before the
stipulated dates.

Regular Examination Fees:
As per schedule given below are payable for registering afresh for the next semester i.e. Semester II or
Semester IV as the case may be.
Additional Examination Fees:
As per schedule given below are payable by those students

a) who have failed in one or more subjects in the previous semesters have to appear for those
subjects again or

b) have but passed in all subjects in the previous semester(s) but have not obtained the aggregate
total marks ( i.e. 50% aggregate ) as stipulated by Shivaji University and wish to appear for
subjects of their choice again.
Late Fees:
As per schedule given below are payable by all students who register late as per the important date
schedule given above.

Date of receipt at the Shivaji University of the online registration form, with all documents as per the
checklist below would be taken as the reference date for calculation of late fees.

Students are advised to submit the online registration form with all relevant documents as per checklist
so that the form reaches Shivaji University well in advance.

Late submissions well attract late fees as per the late fee schedule below.

Forms received beyond the last submission dates will not be accepted and requests for acceptance of
forms will not be entertained.

5. Students should note that only the payment of fees does not complete the registration process for the
examination,

The registration process is completed only on receipt of the printed copy of the online registration form
with all necessary documents at Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM TO BE FILLED:

The student can fill up the online examination form at http://online.shivajiuniversity.in

While filling the online form, the student can enter the PRN number and the subject list will be auto filled.
After the form is filled, the student is to get the form printed, paste two passport-sized photographs on the form,
sign it and send along with the appropriate fee and the required documents to the address given below. Fee
schedule is also indicated below.

Student should take care to enter the detailed address with house number, land marks, pin-code numbers etc
while completing the online registration form. All written communication is sent to this address. It is the
student’s responsibility to see to it that the correct and detailed address is entered.

Students should also take care to enter their name with the correct spelling. Names should be entered as per the
graduation certificate and unless written permission is granted by the appropriate authority of Shivaji University
no changes should be made.

FEE STRUCTURE:

Regular Examination Fee Schedule:

For admission to the MBA Distance mode and MBA (Executive) Distance Registration and Examination fees
are to be paid as per following schedule:

 For a student newly registering { fresh registration } for the next semester

1. Registration Fee: Rs. 300/-


2. Regular Examination Fee: Rs. 480/-
3. Form Fee: Rs. 20/-

Also, in case the student has not cleared all his/her subjects or has not obtained the minimum of 50% marks in
aggregate in any one or more of the previous semesters then additional examination fees have to be paid, as
per schedule given below.

Registration fee of Rs. 300/- and Form Fee of Rs. 20/- are payable by each student irrespective of whether
he/she is registering afresh or whether the student is registering for clearing of failed subjects in previous
semester(s).

Additional Examination Fee Schedule:

This fee is applicable semester-wise i.e. each semester is considered separately.

For any one particular semester,


a) If the student is appearing for one or more than one subjects but for a maximum of 4 (four) subjects,

 If the student has failed in these subjects or


 If the student has passed in all subjects individually but the aggregate is less than the stipulated
50% and wishes to appear for one or more but less than four subjects

Additional Examination fee Rs. 240/-

b) If the student is appearing for five or more subjects,

 If the student has failed in these subjects or


 If the student has passed in all subjects individually but the aggregate is less than the stipulated
50% and wishes to appear for five or more subjects

Additional Examination fee Rs. 480/-

These additional examination fees are applicable on a per semester basis i.e. in case the student is appearing for
subjects from more than one semester, the additional examination fee schedule is applicable for each of these
semesters as per this schedule.

Example I :

If a student is registering only for clearing one or more but less than four subjects in any one of the four semesters I / II /
III or IV then the fees payable by him/her would be as follows:

Registration fee: Rs. 300/-


Form fee: Rs. 20/-
Additional examination fee: Rs. 240/- for the four or less subjects in a particular semester.

Total fee: Rs. 560/- + Late fee if any as applicable.

Example II :

If a student is registering only for five or more subjects in any one of the four semesters I / II / III or IV then the fees
payable by him/her would be as follows:

Registration fee: Rs. 300/-


Form fee: Rs. 20/-
Additional examination fee: Rs. 480/- for the five or more subjects in a particular semester.

Total fee: Rs. 800/- + Late fee if any as applicable.

Example III :

If a student is registering only for clearing one or more but less than four subjects in more than one of the four semesters I
/ II / III or IV ( for example semester I and II ) then the fees payable by him/her would be as follows:

Registration fee: Rs. 300/-


Form fee: Rs. 20/-
Additional examination fee: Rs. 240/- for the four or less subjects in semester I.
Rs. 240/- for the four or less subjects in semester II.

Example IV :

If a student is registering only for clearing five or more subjects in more than one of the four semesters I / II / III or IV ( for
example semester III and IV ) then the fees payable by him/her would be as follows:

Registration fee: Rs. 300/-


Form fee: Rs. 20/-
Additional examination fee: Rs. 480/- for the five or more subjects in semester III.
Rs. 480/- for the five or more subjects in semester IV.

Total fee: Rs. 1280/- + Late fee if any as applicable.

Example V :

If a student is registering afresh for the II or IV semester, and has cleared all subjects in the previous semester(s) then
the fees payable by him/her would be as follows:

Registration fee: Rs. 300/-


Form fee: Rs. 20/-
Regular examination fee: Rs. 480/-

Total fee: Rs. 800/- + Late fee if any as applicable.

Example VI :

If a student has to clear one or more subjects but less than four subjects in the I or III semesters ( as the case may be ),
and is also registering afresh for the II or the IV semester ( as the case may be ), then the fees payable by him/her would
be as follows:

Registration fee: Rs. 300/-


Form fee: Rs. 20/-
Additional examination fee: Rs. 240/- for the four or less subjects in semester I / III.
Regular examination fee: Rs. 480/- for the eight subjects in semester II / IV.

Total fee: Rs. 1040/- + Late fee if any as applicable.

Example VII :

If a student has to clear five or more subjects in the I or III semesters ( as the case may be ), and is also registering afresh
for the II or the IV semester ( as the case may be ), then the fees payable by him/her would be as follows:

Form fee: Rs. 20/-
Additional examination fee: Rs. 480/- for the five or more subjects in semester I / III.
Regular examination fee: Rs. 480/- for the eight subjects in semester II / IV.

Example VIII :

If a student has to clear one subject each in the I, II and III semesters, and is registering afresh for the IV semester, {
provided he/she has passed in twelve or more subjects in Part I { Semester I and II combined } then the fees payable by
him/her would be as follows:

Registration fee: Rs. 300/-


Form fee: Rs. 20/-
Additional examination fee: Rs. 240/- for one subject in semester I.
Additional examination fee: Rs. 240/- for one subject in semester II.
Additional examination fee: Rs. 240/- for one or more but less than four subjects in semester III.
Regular examination fee: Rs. 480/- for the eight subjects in semester IV.

Total fee: Rs. 1520/- + Late fee if any as applicable.

Example IX :

If a student has to clear one subject each in the I, II semesters, five or more subjects in the III semester and is also
registering afresh for the IV semester, { provided he/she has passed in twelve or more subjects in Part I { Semester I and
II combined } then the fees payable by him/her would be as follows:

Registration fee: Rs. 300/-


Form fee: Rs. 20/-
Additional examination fee: Rs. 240/- for one subject in semester I.
Additional examination fee: Rs. 240/- for one subject in semester II.
Additional examination fee: Rs. 480/- for five or more subjects in semester III.
Regular examination fee: Rs. 480/- for the eight subjects in semester IV.

MODE of FEES PAYMENT:

The fees should be paid by

1. An account payee demand draft as per following details:

In favor of : The Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.


Bank : Any nationalized bank.
Payable at : Kolhapur.

2. Cash
Will be accepted only at the Cash receipts office, Room No. 107, Main Building, Shivaji University,
Kolhapur 416 004.

Payment of fees by any other mode of payment is not permitted.

Checklist for documents to be sent for registration:

1. Printed copy of duly filled Online Registration Form.


2. Two passport-sized photos, one appropriately pasted on the printed copy of the Online Registration form
and one stapled to the printed copy of the Online form.
3. Duly attested photocopy, one each of all the previous mark-lists as applicable.
4. Account payee demand draft for the appropriate amount.

Note:

The Self Instructional Material for students registering afresh and who have not received the self instructional
material will not be sent by Post/Courier etc.

Students sending their registration by Post/Courier have to collect the material in person later or make their own
arrangements such as authorizing a relative / friend etc to collect the material on their behalf. Such students
should send the above mentioned registration documents, fees etc along with an authorization letter to their
relative / friend etc. and ask them to submit the documents in person to the address mentioned below and collect
the Self Instructional Material on their behalf.
