Roberto “Bob” Ong is a 48 yr old filipino author. He was born on Febuary 1975 in Quezon City.

His pseudonym “Bob Ong” is the name he is most known for, which for some time his fans
claimed that this was not his real name. Ong stated in one presscon that he did not want to live
the life of a celebrity and that his books are the reflection of his individuality, up until now his
real name remains unknown. Ong became known surprisingly after his first modern literature
“ABNKKBSNPLAko?!” which talks about his childhood life, followed by “Bakit Baliktad
Magbasa ng Libro ang mga Pilipino?” and the likes. But these weren’t the only reasons for his
rapid success, Ong’s controversial writing technique is focused on humor and the reflective
deciptions of the lives of the Filipinos which many could relate to. Before becoming an official
writer, Bob Ong was a web-developer who created a site called “Bobong Pinoy” and had
received a “People’s Choice Philippine Web Award” for humor in 1998. It was later then taken
down by the former president Joseph Estrada for ousting him after the Second People Power
Revolution.

Many lit enthusiasts criticized Ong, but for his followers he is the best at the field and has set the
benchmark for modern literature. In only 26 years of age, Bob wrote ABNKKBSNPLAko?! As
his first novel and later on had it’smovie adaptation in 2014 released by Viva films and MVP
Entertainment.
