ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY (EHS) POLICY

GE is committed to achieving environmental, occupational health, safety and security excellence, and
ensuring that all business activities are conducted in a manner that avoids adverse impact to our
employees, our customers, the environment and the communities in which we do business.

To achieve these goals, GE will ensure our business environment and work practices are created and
conducted safely. We will ensure commitment is achieved by setting measureable objectives and
targets driving continual improvement aimed at eliminating work related injuries and illness.

Responsibilities of each of the stakeholders include;

1. Executive – setting the vision and policy, exercising due diligence, providing leadership,
ensuring the resources and policies to manage risk and comply with laws, and monitoring
progress.
2. Management – planning, exercising due diligence, acquiring and allocating resources,
monitoring progress and ensuring compliance.
3. Supervisory – assisting and ensuring implementation, providing information and training,
complying with procedures.
4. Workers – taking reasonable care for the environment, as well as their own health and safety
and that of others. Including co-operating and complying with procedures and instructions,
providing information for hazard control, and receiving training and supervision appropriate
to their position. Co-operating with GE in its safety initiatives and processes, fulfilling their
legal and moral responsibilities, including the immediate reporting of EHS incidents, events
and concerns.
5. Suppliers and others contributing to GE’s work-consulting and co-operating with GE on EHS
requirements.

EHS IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY

GE is committed to consult with stakeholders affected by matters relating to EHS.

By working together we can provide a healthy and safe environment for all, and meet or exceed
our statutory obligations regarding EHS.
