MAINTENANCE TASKS

1. Check and record the electric motor ampere

2. Shutdown the machine

3. Make sure machine are properly shut-down before performing

preventive maintenance services and/or systems check and let the

Overhead Crane cool down prior to start PM Service

4. Proceed energy isolation to lock-out & tag-out (LOTO) for

electrical systems

5. Check cable terminal to ensure no voltage

6. Walk around visual safety inspection to ensure that no foreign

objects are lying on, in, or around the Overhead Crane package

7. Ensure that any system unsafe to operate is locked out and

controls or switches are tagged “DO NOT OPERATE” temporary

attached.

8. Perform the steps for checking Current Collector are as follows:


 Check the connected part of cable for loosening
 Check spring for deforming and rust
9. Perform the steps for checking Girder & Saddle are as follows:
 Check mounting bolts of girder and saddle for loosening
 Check the lubrication condition of engagement part of
travelling wheel and gear and of wheel shaft
 Check the contact surface and flange of travelling wheels for
abnormal wearing and cracks
 Check wheel shafts and key plates for deforming and loosening

 Check the mounting condition of buffer of saddle


10. Check the clamping screws of wiring Magnetic Contactor for

loosening

11. Perform the steps for checking Travelling Rail are as follows:
 Check rail for being bent or any abnormality
 Check rail-mounting bolts for being loosened
 Check pads and plates lain under rails for being loosening
 Check rails for abnormal wearing
 Check rail joints for loosening, damage, and crack
12. Perform the steps for checking Trolley are as follows:
 Check the mounting bolts, by which trolley frame is isntalled,
for loosening
 Check the contact surface and flange of wheel for wearing
13. Perform the steps for checking Wiring are as follows:
 Check unit wiring for injury and check the wiring conditions
 Check the switch box mounting part on girder for loosening
14. Start-up unit, record important parameters for base line data and

reset running hours (sincronize with step 1)

15. Clean up the work area & tools.
