Installation Instructions for IPUpdateKitInstaller.

msi
Important
• IPUpdateKitInstaller.msi is used to update the hosts file for CARESTREAM
Remote Management Services to work with new IP addresses for Carestream
Health, Inc.
• These instructions provide the basic steps for installing and running the update
files. Detailed instructions for a specific Carestream Health product may be
available under that product’s heading on the Knowledge Portal.
• Install IPUpdateKitInstaller after CARESTREAM Remote Management Services
is operational on the equipment.

1. Download the IPUpdateKitInstaller.msi file from the Knowledge Portal to a CD.


2. Insert the IPUpdateKitInstaller CD in the product’s CD-ROM DRIVE.
3. Access the product Desktop and use Microsoft Windows Explorer to locate the
IPUpdateKitInstaller.msi file.

4. Double-click the IPUpdateKitInstaller.msi file to launch it.


5. At “Welcome to the IPUpdateKitInstaller Setup Wizard,” click [Next].
The "Select Installation Folder" screen appears.

Note: The update can be installed and run from any location. It is recommended to use
the location loaded by default. You will need to access this location later in the process.

6. Select the Everyone radio button.


7. Click [Next].
The "Confirm Installation" screen appears.

8. Click [Next].
9. The "Installation Complete" screen appears.

10. Click [Close].
11. Remove the CD from the CD-ROM DRIVE.

Running the IP Upgrade setup


1. Access the product Desktop.
2. Is this a CR or CR ROP running v4.6 software with Cisco Security Agent (CSA)
enabled?
Yes No
Disable the CSA. Continue with Step 3.
a) Right click the CSA icon on the System taskbar
b) Turn security level to Off.
c) Continue with Step 3.

3. Locate the IPUpgrade folder at the install location you specified earlier.

4. Double-click the Setup.bat file.
5. The "Results" window appears.

6. Does the Results window indicate the Connection to Server was successful?

Yes No
The installation was successful. a) If an error appeared, look at the command window
Continue Step 6. for log statements.
b) Call the Technical Support Center (TSC).

7. Click [OK].
The "Connect Test completed" message appears.

8. Click [OK].
9. Enable the Cisco Security Agent if it was disabled previously.
10. Restart the equipment.
