Hippocrates

1.Who was Hippocrates?


Hippocrates was a Greek philosopher and physician.He is
known as the Father of Modern Medicine because he
emphasized a logical and natural route to wellness. He
believed that medical treatment should assist nature in
healing the body.
Hippocrates became fairly knowledgeable in the subject of
anatomy. Because Hippocrates was able to heal fractured
bones by forcing the broken ends back together in the
proper way. of Hippocrates are: he founded the Coyan
Medical School, wrote 70 000 books known as
"Hippocrates Corpus", separated medicine from
superstition, brought medicine to a scientific level,
believed that health is on an appropriate diet and hygiene,
introduced the practice of confidentiality and wrote the
oath of medicine, still in use today.

•Having health you do it all, having no health you can do


nothing

“If someone wishes for good health, one must first ask
oneself if he is ready to do away with the reasons for his
illness. Only then is it possible to help him. –Hippocrates”

•Becauze many want health but without effort, without


sacrifices and in this case, you can't help him with anything.
3.The Hippocratic OATH
Hippocrates' oath are the moral basis in medicine.
Hippocrates, a pioneer in medicine, but also a
prominent philosopher, denounced the technocratic
aspect of the medical profession and emphasizes the
humanities, stating that "the doctor must introduce
wisdom in medicine.”
An important aspect of the Oath is gratitude to the
teachers, to the mentors, which is sometimes
neglected today.
The oath pleads for the humanism of the doctor. In
addition to medical knowledge, the doctor is obliged
to answer in the basic moral and ethical society of the
medical art, but also of human behavior.
