LIFE OF HOLY PROPHET(S.A.W) AT MAKKAH

Conditions of Hijaz:
1) Forget their religion.
2) Totally darkness.
3) Tampered with their religion.
4) Christian and Jews lost their religions
and actual books.
5) Tawaf without clothes.
6) Burying the girls alive.

Family and Background:
Birth & Babyhood:
 Milaad un Nabi (SAW)
 Name : Muhmmad and Ahmed (SAW)
Abdul-Muttalib called the baby Muhammad, a name not then common among
the Arabs.

 Sucking and fostering ?


The first woman who suckled him after his mother was Thuyebah, the
concubine of Abu Lahab, with her son, Masrouh. She had suckled Hamzah bin
‘Abdul-Muttalib before. It was the general custom of the Arabs living in towns
to send their children away to bedouin wet nurses.The Prophet [pbuh] was later
entrusted to Haleemah bint Abi Dhuaib from Bani Sa‘d bin Bakr.

 at the Age of five years, six years


 At eight years.

Journey to Syria:
At the age of twelve, accompanied with his uncle Hazrat Abu Talib for business
journey to Syria. Christian Monk “Buhaira” recognized him at Basra by some of
“ his signs” as last Prophet(S.A.W)
Abu Talib asked: "How do you know that?" He replied: "When you appeared
from the direction of „Aqabah, all stones and trees prostrated themselves, which
they never do except for a Prophet. I can recognize him also by the seal of
Prophethood which is below his shoulder, like an apple. We have got to learn
this from our books.
He also asked Abu Talib to send the boy back to Makkah and not to take him to
Syria for fear of the Jews. Abu Talib obeyed and sent him back to Makkah with
some of his men servants.

Half-ul-fazul: (Oath of fazool)

 At the age of 20 years, Holy Prophet SAW participated in


an oath which is known as Half-ul-fazool.

 The oath was taken by different tribes to help the


oppressed people against the oppressors. To give the
rights and properties back to the oppressed people.

 The name of this oath is fazool because the first word of


the leader of every tribe started with fazal.

Marriage
 At the age of 25 years, Holy Prophet SAW went to syria again to take
the merchandize of the rich widow for business.
 Hazrat Khadijah, daughter of Khuwailid was a business-woman of
great honour and fortune. She used to employ men to do her
business for a certain percentage of the profits.
 The slave Maisrah of Hazrat Khadija accompanied Holy Prophet.
 Hazrat khadija(R.A) became very much impressed by the honesty of
Holy prophet. She disclosed her wish to her friend Nafisa, She
offered her hand for marriage.
 At the time of marriage, the age Holy Prophet SAW was 25 years and
Hazrat Khadija was 40 years old.
 He gave her twenty camels as dowry.
 Khadijah bore all his children, except Ibrahim:
Al-Qasim, Zainab, Ruqaiyah, Umm Kulthum, Fatimah and ‘Abdullah
who was called Taiyab and Tahir. All his sons died in their childhood
and all the daughters except Fatimah died during his lifetime.
Fatimah died six months after his death. All his daughters witnessed
Islam, embraced it, and emigrated to Madinah.

 RENOVATION OF KA’ABA:

 When the age of Holy Prophet SAW was 35 years, all the
tribes of Quraish started renovation of kaba-tu-Allah and
every tribe took part in this renovation. There was a huge
dispute among the tribes for the placement of Hajr-e-Aswad
(Black Stone). This dispute was finished by Holy Prophet
(S.A.W), When he placed the black stone on a sheet and the
chief of every tribe hold the corner of sheet and Holy
Prophet(S.A.W) placed this stone on its actual place.

FIRST REVELATION:
 Holy prophet(S.A.W) from his age 35 to 40 started to go to
a cave named, Hira not far from Makkah for the spiritual
meditation/arbitration.
 As one night when his age was 40 an angel Hazrat-e-Jibriel
appeared before him and said ‘’Read’’. Hazrat-e-Jibriel was
in the shape of human being.
 Holy Prophet(S.A.W) has said ‘’I could not read’’ Hazrat-e-
Jibriel closed him in his hands and Holy prophet( S.A.W)
started to read. This was the first revelation revealed on
Holy Prophet(S.A.W). He was very anxious and his wife
Hazrat-e-Khadija took him towards his cousin Warqa-bin-
Nofal who assured him that, He is the last prophet and
Allah will protect him.

 DECLARATION OF NABUWAT:

At the initial stage, He started his preaching to his close


friends and relatives.
The first who accepted Islam was :
 His wife Hazrat Khadija (R.A) (First)
 Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A), (first in Adult)
 Hazrat Ali (R.A) (First in Child) and
 Hazrat Zaid-bin-Haris(R.A) (First in salve )
During next three years, forty (40) persons accepted Islam.

OPEN PREACHING AND DIFFICULTIES:
On receiving the message of Allah, Muhammad(S.A.W)
began to preach his mission among the misguided citizens of
Makkah. His message to the people was that Allah is one,
he is creator, only he is giver of life and death. The
success of Muhammad (SAW) was unacceptable to the Non-
Muslim of Makkah.
At first they laughed at him when he showed his
determination in teaching and preaching the message of
Allah, they began to gave torture him and his followers. Their
wrath (anger) fell upon the converted slaves and strangers,
weak and poor of the lower classes who had no pattern or
protector. These peoples were seized and exposed to the
scorching gravel of the valley to the intense of the midday
sun. No anyone of his follower left Islam due to this extreme
torture.

MIGRATION TO ABYSINIA

 The First Migration to Abyssinia (Ethiopia).


 At the age of Holy Prophet (SAW) was 45 years and the
5th year of Nabuwat, due to the extreme torture, Holy
Prohet (SAW) advised his companion to migrate Abysinia.

 The governor was justice person and his name was


Najjashi.

 Dozens of Muslim s migrated to Abysina with the Advise


of Holy Prophet (SAW).

SOCIAL BOYCOTT OF THE TRIBE OF MUHAMMAD (SAW)

 Background : After the Conversion of Hamzah bin „Abdul-Muttalib &


„Umar bin Al-Khattab, Quraish‟s Representative negotiates with the
Messenger of Allah SWT. Abu Talib assembles Bani Hashim and Bani Al-
Muttalib
 General Social Boycott ( A Pact of Injustice and Aggression)
 After the migration to Abysinia, the leaders of non-muslims decided on a
complete boycott to the tribe of Holy Prophet (SAW).
 At that time his age was 47th years old. Nobody was talked to them nor
have commercial and matrimonial relations with them. This resulted to face
a huge difficulties to Holy Prophet (SAW) and his tribe. This boycott was
continued for full 3 years.

(10th year of Nabuwat )

 Janab Abu Talib‟s Death

 Hazrat Khadijah (R.A) passes away

to the Mercy of Allah.

VISIT TO TAIF:
(Calling unto Islam beyond Makkah)

When His age was 51 years, He went to Taif for


preaching His mission but returned immediately to
Makkah, as the wicked people of that town chased
the Prophet (SAWW) out of their city and wounded
Him. They did not accept His mission because they
were not ready to leave their native religion.

ASCENSION TO SKY (MAIRAJ);
 Al-Isra‟ and Al-Mir„raj
 At the age 52 years, he was awarded a
highest reward. He has experienced the
Mairaj, (Ascension to sky). He had a vision
of Allah Almighty and was witnessed to the
wonderful things. When He returned from
Mairaj, He brought a gift (5 times prayer)
for His followers.
