I, Mohit Kumar wish to pursue a master's in Data Analytics at The University of

Sheffield.
I can remember the roots of my interest in the field of analytics dogged after my
graduation, then I studied various technologies like  Distributed Databases,
Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Big Data Analytics and so on but the
most interesting area I found was 'Data Analytics'.

During these years I realized that Data analytics has made its presence across
industries and the most interesting thing about Data Analytics is the application
of concepts from statistics. I find the field of Data Analytics quite fascinating
as it effectively blends technological expertise with human logic. I worked on many
technologies like Hadoop, solutions to big data problems using MapReduce and NoSQL,
Spark Streaming and so on. These technologies have fascinated me about how
beautifully data can change the way of seeing the world.

Working in multi-domain industries as a part of my analytical career, I have been

working with numerous domains such as BFSI(Banking, financial services and
insurance), Healthcare, Telecom & E-learning. Working with few big clients such as
Aon, NBN network(National Broadband Network) & Pearson, I have been combing large
datasets for the last few years in different capacities, seeking to understand new
ways of looking at data. I analyzed stock market data with respect to generating an
analysis report in realtime. I have been working with different Cloud Services such
as AWS (Redshift, EMR, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, CloudFormation), Microsoft
Azure(Kubernetes, ELK), Databricks.
I actually have recognized that it's no longer a home phenomenon but alternatively
an international determinant and subsequently, my decision to pursue Masters in
Data Analytics at The University of Sheffield. Moving forth from now, I wish to
transit into the role of a Strategist and I agree with that, as a way to be geared
up to successfully utilize my capabilities and discover an edge in the top
management of a number one multi-national. My education and understanding have thus
far brought me to the varied possibilities, tools, and methods but to be at the
