Lesson Plan - Topic (learning styles)


Describe the Class
Around twenty to twenty five college students with no known learning disabilities and willing to
learn.

Subject/Skill:
Education - Learning styles and knowing all the ways to learn and how to combine them.

Objective(s)
The students will learn about the perception modalities (learning styles) and how each one differs
from each other. They will see examples on what most of the learning styles are and show how
they can enhance student learning. By the end of the class, I will ask short questions on whether
they can differentiate which learning style I’m implementing.

IV.Procedures/Instruction
*Begin with a warmup. Ask why it’s important to know all types of learning perceptions.
*State objective : Learning styles demonstration. What are the numerous styles that help us learn.
How can we make learning more efficient through combining learning styles. What’s the first
thing that comes to mind when hearing about “learning styles”

a few examples on how they learn or study.
● Slide 3 - Berating the importance of learning styles.
● Slide 4 - An example of why learning styles don’t fit all shapes.

● Slide 6 - Origin of these numerous theories, Origins of authentic learning in general
● Slide 6 - Introduction and list of the multiple learning styles.
● Slide 7-13 - A more in depth look at the multiple learning styles and examples. (Show

class)
● Slide 14 - Learning styles and retention rates. How combining helps. (Activity: Student
assessment, ask about lesson examples with combined learning styles.)
● Slide 15 - Homework that helps state the importance of learning styles and their personal
philosophy.

Closure: What are the advantages of knowing learning styles ? A possible disadvantage to these
theories ? Should teachers learn and adapt to student’s learning styles or not ?
