---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

<Precautions on operation>
1. If you have not installed Microsoft Excel, this tool will not start.
2. When selecting files on a window, this tool can only read data files that were output by the
measuring instrument or SupportWare.
3. For any parameters for which calculation cannot be made, messages such as “Rz = No peak”
are displayed/printed on SURFCOM, while “Rz = 0.000 μm” is displayed/printed on the
SupportWare.
4. The name of curves may be different to the ones on the measuring instrument.
5. When using this software on HandySurf, you cannot paste load or amplitude distribution curves
in the inspection certificate.
6. When using this software on HandySurf, if you want to perform the measurement data text file
creation or inspection certificate creation after you measured in SURFCOM operation screen,
please be sure to set the digital output by the side of a measurement machine to "MANUAL".
(Please turn "OFF" No.7 of DIP switch 2.)
7. When using this software on SURFCOM 130/480 version 6.06 or earlier, please note the
following.
・It is impossible to paste BC Graph and ADC Graph in the inspection certificate.
・When creating an inspection certificate or file from saved data, set the output type to “Type 1” on
the RS-232-C condition setting window of the measuring instrument.
・It is Regarding parameters related to BC Graph (tp, Pmr, Pmr2, Pδc, Rmr, Rmr2, Rδc, Wmr,
Wmr2, and Wδc), parameter numbers (such as “1” for Pmr (1)) are different on SURFCOM
130/480 and the SupportWare. On the SupportWare, the number for the first selected
parameter is “0”, followed by serial numbers for the succeeding parameters (Example: when
three parameters, Rmr(2), Rme(4) and Rmr(5), are selected on SURFCOM 130/480, they are
numbered as Rmr_0, Rmr_1, and Rmr_2), respectively on the SupportWare).
・If you want to perform the measurement data text file creation or inspection certificate creation
after you measured in SURFCOM operation screen, please be sure to set the data output of
auto setting screen by the side of a measurement machine to "OFF".
8. When using this software on SURFCOM 130/480 version 6.07 or earlier, please note the
following.
・If you have changed the measurement conditions after the measurement or the reading of the
measurement data, when you create an inspection certificate or a measurement data text file
using RS232C communication, the changed conditions are output.
9. In the following software version of each measuring machine, it is necessary to use it in
combination with SupportWare Ver.1.5 or later.
・HandySurf series Ver.1.14 or later
・SURFCOM FLEX series Ver.1.29 or later
・SURFCOM 130/480 Ver.6.08 (3.408 / 4.408 / 5.408) or later
