Chopta is a tiny hill station and a part of Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, which houses green
meadows and dense forest. Situated at a height of 2680 meters above the sea level, the place is
considered one of the best locations for camping in the state of Uttarakhand. Chopta is also the
starting point of treks to Tungnath, which is the world's highest Shiva temple and Chandrashila
peak.

DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 0: Drive from Delhi to Chopta

Assemble at either Akshardham Metro Station We start our journey towards Chopta at 8 PM. We
have our dinner at a restaurant near Modinagar and then continue our drive to Rishikesh.

DAY 1: Arrive at Chopta and Trek to Tungnath

We reach Rishikesh by 4 AM and then take a halt there. We start our mountain drive to Chopta
by 5 AM.

After arriving at Chopta, we have our lunch and then start our trek to the world’s highest lord
Shiva temple, which is Tungnath. After reaching there, explore the temple and enjoy the sunset.
Dinner and overnight stay at Tungnath.

DAY 2: Early morning trek to Chandrashila, back to Chopta and drive to Delhi

Wake up early and we start our trek to Chandrashila at 5 AM. After reaching, enjoy the panoramic
views of almost all the peaks of Uttarakhand such as Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Kedarnath, Trisul,
Gangotri, Shivling, etc.

We start descending down at around 8 AM and reach Chopta probably by 12 PM. After having
lunch at Chopta, we begin our drive back to Delhi.

Reach Delhi by 7 in the morning next day.

Cost : INR 5500 per person (Delhi to Delhi)
