Тема 1. Киберпреступность.

(4ч)
Cybercrime its any criminal activity which use computer.Cyber criminals may divided into 4 type. Now
we will talk about Cybercrime for Illicit Activities.

Under surface of Internet we may found Dark Web. It is another Internet which cybercrimes use for
Illicit Activities. FBI trying to control dark web but it is very difficult because Dark Web use encryption.

In any case, there are a lot of positives. Partnerships between industry and law have improved. This led
to the disruption or arrest of many major cybercrime syndicates.
Тема 2. Means of attack in cybercrime

There are four common means of attack in cybercrime.

The first is a technological exploitation using malware .

The second means of attack is the denial-of-service (DDOS) attack.

The third means of attack persuades an individual to click a link which then opens up their device to
infection.

The fourth means of attack, used cyber criminals cover their tracks by using identity-hiding
technologies.

Cybercrime encompasses a wide range of illicit activities. Cybercrime is not always about complicated
hacking and does not only take place in the ‘dark web’. The best form of defense against cyber attack is
to remain informed.

3. Antivirus software

Anti-virus software is a program that are designed to fight malware.

Computer without installed anti-virus software will be infected within minutes of connecting to
the internet. The bombardment is constant, with anti-virus companies update their detection tools
constantly

Antivirus software performs the following functions:

· Scan specific files or directories

· schedule a scan

· scan flash drives

· Remove any malicious code

· Show you the ‘health’ of your computer

Always be sure that you have the best, up-to-date security software.
4. Physical information security

You must constantly monitor devices and media containing information about you and your life.
After someone receives your data, they can be used against you.
We encourage you to STOP before leaving your laptop or phone behind in a public area; before
tossing your class schedule into the recycle; before posting information about your physical
location or financial habits.
Then THINK about whether the links in that email or text message point to an official website;
whether you even have an account with that bank; whether Facebook is really likely to have
forgotten how to use spell-check.
Finally, CONNECT with your surroundings, both virtual and physical: Is this a safe place to
leave my laptop? Does this website seem sketchy?

5. Cryptography
Cryptography is closely related to the disciplines of cryptology and cryptanalysis. Cryptography
includes techniques such as microdots, merging words with images, and other ways to hide
information in storage or transit. However, in today's computer-centric world, cryptography is
most often associated with scrambling plaintext into ciphertext, then back again. Individuals who
practice this field are known as cryptographers.

Modern cryptography concerns itself with the following objectives:

1) Confidentiality (the information cannot be understood by anyone for whom it was unintended)

2) Integrity (the information cannot be altered in storage or transit between sender and intended
receiver without the alteration being detected)

3) Non-repudiation (the creator/sender of the information cannot deny at a later stage his or her
intentions in the creation or transmission of the information).

6. My future profession

The field of training is the comprehensive provision of information security of automated

systems. The safety of automated systems encompassing a combination of software and
hardware, cryptographic, technical and organizational-legal methods and means of ensuring
information security in automated systems while processing, storing and transmitting it using
modern information technologies.

Computer security covers the development of the principles of building and methods of software
and hardware implementation of modern information security systems using cryptographic tools.

While studying at the department Students get knowledge on:

- Organizational and legal issues of information security (IS);

- High-level programming in modern operating environments;

- System engineering and circuit design of IS equipment;

- Assembler programming of the latest hardware platforms;

- Mathematical aspects of information protection, cryptography, steganography, crypto and

steganalysis;

- The newest protected network technologies of global, corporate and local purpose.
