1. Discuss the Evolution of Marketing Philosophies.

The purpose of marketing philosophies is to identify and fulfill those needs, as well as
wants and demands of the customers or consumers. The marketing concept and
philosophy evolved and went to a gradual change since the Industrial Revolution. The
product concept is that one that knows its product better than anyone. The company
knows and will have a strong feeling whenever the company has a good product. The
selling concept is the one that can sell any product it produces with the use of marketing
techniques, such as advertising and personal selling. The Marketing Concept states that
the important task of business is to know and satisfy the wants and needs of the
customers while at the same time, meeting the organization's goals. It emphasizes that
organization should understand the customers before designing and producing a
product for them. The Societal Marketing Concept is about knowing the customers’
needs, while also caring about the well-being of the society and the environment. The
Holistic Marketing Concept is the one that considers the business as a whole and not as
an entity with different parts.

2. What is the Importance of Marketing in a Global Society?

It is important because it gives businesses new opportunities to create new means of

income and raises the brand familiarity and reputation. It benefits the society by
informing and educating consumers. It identifies a customer’s need and seeks to
explain how its products or services meet. It gives the businesses the opportunity to
gain new knowledge about their products in order to adjust for better quality service.
Marketing drives a consumer economy, promoting goods and services and targeting
consumers most likely to become buyers. The higher sales for a business that
employs successful marketing strategies translate into expansion, more jobs, and
overall economic growth.

activities such as public relation, advertising, social media, pricing, distribution,
public relations. Marketing is everywhere. From presenting for a job interview to
selling products includes marketing. The main objective of any company is to
gain profits which can be achieved only through marketing of the
products. Marketing is the process of getting people interested in your company's
product or service. This happens through understanding your ideal customer's
needs, interests and wants. Another function of marketing is to communicate,
build and maintain relationships with them, deliver and create value to the
customers and consumer. The companies must take consideration in their
employees, stakeholders and the society. Because they spend a lot of time,
money, and resources to know the needs and wants of the customers and create
the products to satisfy them. Marketing is made up of 4 elements namely:
Product, Place, Promotion, Price. This is to effectively target the consumer. The
product is the physical product or service. Place is where the product was
purchased. Promotions is the communication or tools that is used to effectively
get the message out. Price is the certain amount that that consumer pays.
