Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified farmers in Category 3 to lease the aforementioned State Land in
the Sedibeng District and Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipalities.

Category 3: Medium to large-scale commercial farmers who have already been or intend farming commercially
at various scales, but are disadvantaged by location, size of land and other resources or circumstances and
with real potential to grow.

Qualifying Criteria: The targeted group for agricultural leases are: South African citizens (Blacks, Indians and
Coloureds) over the age of 18 years, must have at least 5 years experience as a Livestock and Grain farmer, have rele-
vant training and qualifications and must have access to production capital or ability to raise such funding (documentary
proof to be furnished with the application)
The farm is within 10 km from Nigel town and 20 km from Spring Fresh Produce and 10 km from Heidelberg
town. Coordinates to the property are 26˚24.374’ South and 028˚18.758’ East.
A compulsory site inspection will be organised only with shortlisted candidates.
NB: Attendance of the site inspection and the signing of the attendance register is
compulsory failing which the aspirant applicant/ farmer will be disqualified.
NB: Transport to the inspection site is the responsibility of the applicant.

Applications will be evaluated in terms of the District Beneficiary Selection Committee (DBSC) guided by the Depart-
ment of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) Terms of Reference. The Provincial Committee
reserves the right to recommend the suitable qualified farmer to the National Land Allocation, Acquisition and Control
Committee (NLAACC) for consideration.
Applications with Business Plans must be sealed in an envelope and externally endorsed with the relevant
Property/ Farm name and be deposited in the Tender Box, DALRRD – Gauteng Office; 542 Sancardia Building,
Cnr Steve Biko and Stanza Bopape Street, Arcadia, and also can be send via a post office, Private Bag X9, Hat-
field, 0028. NB. Application forms can be collected from the PSSCG offices or on the departmental website:
