Questionnaire on The Filipino Woman

1. Is the essay about a person’s life, or experience? Does it describe a person or does it disuss a
relationship of one person to another? (Yes or No, Why or why not?) (10 points)

- for me is NO because the essay is based on the culture, standard and the
mindset of filipino women. And YES it describe a person or discuss a
relationship of one person to another because the spanish-american and japan
is one of country who educate the filipino's

2. Is this a formal or informal essay? Why? (5 points)

-this is informal essay beacause the author discuss about the language,
religion and values of the filipino woman. And it also give the idea of the reader
on how to understand the point of the story or essay.

3. Are the sentences long or short, simple, compound or complex? How are they written?
Comment on the choice of the language. (10 points)

-it is compound or complex because it tends that how the filipino women is.
And how the filipino woman fight the authority and they write this essay
because it is base on how the filipino woman reveal on what they can in the
country .

4. What are the techniques that the writer employs to make the paragraphs effective—cause
and effect, comparison and contrast, illustration and examples? Comment on the beginning and
ending of the essay. (10 points)

-cause and effect ,comparison and contrast, illustration and examples.

because in the beginning of the story or essay it start what the filipino woman's
life or future or how woman can handle herself and in the end of the essay the
author will encourage the filipino woman that they will do the best to challenge
everyone that the woman is have a ability to do everything what the man can
do .
5. Discuss the theme. (5 points)
 -the theme entittled "FILIPINO WOMAN" is a story or essay of the woman
who can be strong and ready to fight againsts their dignity and they know the
what are the best thing to show their ability to stand as a woman .This story
give the hope of every woman to encourage everyone that they can do the
things that they can .
6. What are the values reflected in the text worth living by? Give at least three and explain
comprehensively. (15 points)

-Religious-we all know that being religious is a tradition of many filipinos and
they always know that believing God is the most important to every individual
and always put to their minds that being religious is always have a respect
-Shy- Traditionally, a Filipino woman is "shy and secretive" about her feelings
for a suitor. On the other hand, the Filipino man fears rejection by a woman and
would like to avoid losing face and embarrassment.
-strong- filipino woman will be strong to handle herself .and a strong women is
a woman who fights for rights she shoudnt have to fight for.

7. Which presented ideas (give at least two) do you think about the Filipino woman deemed
agreeable or disagreeable? Why do you think so? (10 points)

*Filipino woman is deemed agreeable because woman is strong and loving

specially to their families and relatives they are responsible. We know the fact
that the woman can do everything to show what skills they can share as a
woman.and as a woman we know what responsibility we can take to help our
country.
