IMPORTANCE OF GARDENING AND GARDENING AT HOME

ACTIVITIES TO COUNTER GLOBAL WARMING

INTRODUCTION
Based on global figures on the effects of the climate and environmental pollution,
we present this project of visivilization of alternatives to reduce the effects of global
warming, according to the "WWF". With the increase in temperature, the poles
melt, the level rises from the sea and coastal populations are affected. Agriculture
suffers and jeopardizes food security. The climatic phenomenal are more intense,
frequent and unpredictable. According to the "UN", Colombia is the third country in
the world most vulnerable to climate change.
For this reason, this project seeks to strengthen the knowledge of urban agriculture
students at the University of the Llanos and thus be able to carry out activities such
as a home garden that can contribute to the reduction of global warming.
This project wants to show how gardening activities can be carried out from home
in homes and with the community with which we live. Several studies have been
carried out on this project and almost all of them reflect on how it is possible to
contribute to dissipating aspects of humanity that fuel the global effect of warming
the earth's atmosphere, in the same very important way as an agricultural country
we must know These activities to increase efforts quickly and easily through urban
agriculture.
PROJECT FOCUS
In this project you want to raise awareness of the importance of conducting home
gardening activities.
The ecological alternatives that can be had from homes to mitigate on a small
scale the rates of global warming.
In addition to these interests, it seeks to support student learning about these
Urban agriculture activities.
JUSTIFICATION
Urban agriculture is one of the production systems that allows the conservation of
agrobiodiversity in the family garden. It allows the consumption of fruits,
vegetables, food quality (no use of fertilizers), improvement of the environment
(without production process costs or excessive waste).
In general, the family garden is diverse in richness and variety of species, so
complex and varied in structures and possible associations, that it presents ideal
characteristics so that it is sustainable.
This project has the guarantee of food security and the mechanisms to reduce
production costs. Due to its greater adaptability, in this way you can consume from
your own garden, in a healthy and organic way.
There is great global concern to conserve and use plant genetic resources, both in
natural areas and in agricultural systems, due to its close relationship with meeting
human needs and solving severe problems such as hunger and poverty
OBJECTIVES
• GENERAL OBJECTIVE
Strengthen knowledge about urban agriculture through activities that contribute
to reducing global warming.
• SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
Teach on how to make a home garden through videoconferences from
home
Make a manual on how to make a garden from home with students from
Module 4 English at the University of Los Llanos.
Incorporate a manual on how to make a vegetable garden at home, to serve
as a guide in future projects of the students of the University of Los Llanos.
