ADMISSION COUNSELLING 2020

CLARIFICATIONS

EWS CERTIFICATE

Attention of candidates who applied for Admission 2020 in NIFT under EWS Category is invited
on the Notification dated 24th July, 2020, requesting to submit EWS Certificate in the prescribed
format. Many candidates have expressed their inability to get the certificate valid for 2020-21
issued from the authorities due to the lockdown.

Such candidates are notified to upload the Certificate valid for 2019-20 immediately to secure
admission on provisional basis. They will have to submit the VALID EWS certificate for 2020-21
by 30th September, 2020 failing which the provisional admission granted will be cancelled.

ELIGIBLITY - QUALIFICATION for MDes and MFM

As per the existing eligibility criteria for admission in MDes and MFM, a candidate is required to
have an Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognized by
LAW IN INDIA.

One of eligibility criteria for the Masters of Design and Masters of Fashion Management is an
“Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT/NID”.

In this regard it is to clarify that all undergraduate Diploma of three years duration [Before NIFT
commenced the award of undergraduate Degrees in 2007] will be valid. The Candidates who
have completed FDIT/FIT will be eligible based on degree secured in Bachelors of Computer
Applications or any other Degree along with the Diploma.
