Rebid

Responder’s rebid is non forcing always. He can pass even after opener bid a new suit if he thinks reasonable
and game not possible.

Minimum range (Opener rebid & responder rebid )


1. Non jump raise in partner’s suit: 1C-1H-2H: priority -1
2. (O) Non jump rebid in new suit : 1C-1H-1S: priority -2
1. (R) pass /1NT/2S/2H/2C for 6-9 TP; if responder have 9 pts. Its better to rebid to find opener is in
medium / minimum range.
2. Example: 1C-1H-1S(13-18 pts.) – responder can pass or 1NT / 2H (5 card) / 2S(4 card ) / 2C (with min
3 card and unbalanced hand
3. Responder in medium range: jump raise opener first suit (1C-1H-1S-3C)/ jump raise partner second
suit (1C-1H-1S-3S) jump rebidding own suit (1C-1H-1S-3H)/ rebid 2NT (1C-1H-1S-2NT)
4. Responder in maximum range: game in opener first suit (1C-1H-1S-4S)/ game in own suit (1C-1H-1S-
4H) / rebid 3NT (1C-1H-1S-3NT)/ rebid a new suit (1C-1H-1S-2D)

3. Non jump rebid in same suit: 1C-1H-2C: priority -3 (Rebid in same suit require 6 card can be rebid with 5
card if no alternative available)
4. Non jump rebid in no trump: 1C-1H-1NT :priority -4
