Prioritize mass testing

COVID-19 has taken the world by a storm. With cases rising in the Philippines, mass
testing should be a priority in my opinion because it is a major component in battling against the
pandemic. Mass testing is essentially a way to prevent further spread by tracking down suspected
cases like PUIs, frontliners, etc. Which would be followed by contact tracing and treatment. This
has been the cry of the public ever since the pandemic has gotten worse over time.

Other issues have shadowed and has taken priority over the mass testing problem, issues
such as the shut down of ABS-CBN to name one. The country has yet to see improvements in
declining the cases of COVID-19. With this in mind, mass testing should be prioritized as it is a
crucial move that can greatly turn the tides of the events to our favor. With mass testing, we can
identify and isolate those who were exposed to the virus such as travellers or frontliners. This
can greatly improve the country’s well-being and may give us a chance in battling with the
pandemic.
