Sleep deprivation may not look serious at first glance, but continuously restless nights
may lead to some serious health problems such as obesity, diabetes and coronary
hearth disease.
Obesity is defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation, usually from intake of
more foods than the body can process. Lack of sleep can cause obesity because it
disrupts the hormones responsible for the appetite of the body specifically the Leptin
hormone and Ghrelin hormone. Leptin hormone is a hormone which decreases your
appetite whie Ghrelin hormones is a hormone which increases your appetite.
