Introduction
Longganisa is one of the most popular breakfast meals among Filipino specifically in San
Jose, Occidental Mindoro. According to Tourism San Jose (2020), the well-known San Jose
Longganisa is not a good fraction of meal but also a perfect combination of one’s pasalubong.
This San Jose style sausage is appetizing because of its herbs and spices. It has a complimenting
taste of sweetness, saltiness, and a little bit spiciness that is perfect for anyone who is looking for
a good and nice bite. It is famous for its unique taste that melts in your mouth and its aromatic
scent that makes you crave for another cup of rice. The secret of this sausage is all-out
seasonings such as salt, garlic, soy sauce, sugar match with partially flavored sweetness with the
assurance of a real fresh meaty chunk. It is best served during breakfast with fried rice
(Sinangag) and other fried courses such as egg, tuyo (dried fish), pork, and tapa usually called as
SILOG.
