    Karen has lived in Santa Marta for approximately eleven years after moving from her hometown of Sabanas. She has had very unforgettable experiences since moving. Karen made a friend named Surys at university and they have been friends for many years, sharing experiences both at and outside of university. Every weekend since becoming friends, Karen and Surys would play volleyball to distract themselves, although during quarantine they now practice from home. In February, Karen and Surys decided to go to the Buenavista shopping center with other colleagues to get to know each other better. The only thing Karen really misses is that she has not seen her best friends for a long time.

    MY REAL EXPERIENCE IN
    SANTA MARTA
    I have been here in Santa Marta for

    approximately eleven years, after moving

    from my hometown, Sabanas. They have

    been very unforgettable experiences for

    me. This city has made me feel very

    welcome. I made a friend at university

    named Surys, we have shared many things

    together, and not only at university but also

    outside of it. Since we have been friends,

    we have also met other people. Every

    weekend we play volleyball to distract

    ourselves, although in our quarantine we

    practice from home. In February we

    decided to go to the Buenavista shopping

    center together with other colleagues and

    we got to know each other better. It is

    wonderful but there is something that I

    really miss and that is that I have not seen

    my best friends for a long time.
