Both highways and public transportation should be in a good infrastructure in a developed country.

However, if we consider our country, according to my opinion, the government should give more
important to improve roads and highways than improving public transportation. There are many
reasons for this.

To begin with, roads and highways are indispensable for communicating in daily life. For instance,
people travel to working places, education centres or other personal purposes by their private vehicle or
public services. It is possible only when there are roads and highways around the country. Additionally,
it would reduce the traveling time from one place to another because, the traffic would be lessened. In
my case, if we want to travel to our town during school starting and ending time because, there is only
one way of road to the town, This would take more than one hour instead of fifteen minutes.

Moreover, infrastructure of the high standard roads guarantees the people’s safety. For example, in
rural and mountain area, people face many difficulties with terrible roads. So, even though there is no
public transportation, if that places have safely roads, that people can travel securely wherever they
need to go. Besides, if the roads have lamps, people can travel during night without any anxiety.

Furthermore, improving roads and highways would create more jobs opportunities and positive
economic impact. For example, people can transport their commodities to all over the country mainly
from rural areas and then marketed them easily. It would increase not only people’s income but also
government’s financial level too. Additionally, more companies would desire to expand their branches
all over the country. Consequently, it would give more employment opportunities to many people.
Moreover, many tourists also will visit to our country. It would impact positively on economy.

Finally, as we discussed it is significant task improving road and highways first in our country. It would
show off our country as a very beautiful place and it would help the government to improve our country
financially and structurally. Then, according to public need, they can decide the improvement on
transportation because, nowadays most people started to own vehicles.
