English 3 Unit 8 Quiz

Students take on the role of fashion magazine reporters and describe the clothes and appearances
of five celebrities. Students attach the pictures and write the descriptions next to them or below.
When the students finish writing their articles, they write a conversation between one of the
celebrities and a clerk at a store (about the moment when that celebrity buys his/her outfit).

For example:

The Golden Globe Awards are today and the stars are already here. Taylor Swift looks very pretty
in this floral dress. The dress is big but looks casual too. It’s a fresh look for a big event.

Clerk: Good afternoon. Can I help you?

Taylor: Yes, please. I’m going to the Golden Globes and I’m looking for a casual look.

Clerk: Oh, good. Do you want something like a blouse and a skirt?

Taylor: That sounds good. But I prefer dresses.

Clerk: In that case…
