The Philippine Coast Guard Officers Corps shall elect from its membership a
President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Auditor.
I. GUIDELINES
1. O/CG-1. The Office of the Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Human
Resource Management, CG-1 (O/CG-1) shall:
a. President;
b. Vice President;
c. Secretary;
d. Treasurer; and
e. Auditor.
6. Withdrawal.
A candidate who has submitted his nomination or who has been nominated by
their respective Class Officers may, prior to the election, withdraw the same
thru email to O/CG-1.
7. Manner of Election.
II. PROCEDURES
1. The O/CG-1 shall send a Radio Message to all PCG units calling for
candidates for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and
Auditor for the PCG Officers’ Club and stating therein the qualifications and
disqualifications of a candidate, the period of submission and the date of election.
2. The nomination shall be submitted before or on the day of the deadline for the
filing thereof or on 29 August 2020. The O/CG-1 have the ministerial duty to receive
nomination and to immediately acknowledge receipt thereof.
3. The O/CG-1 shall then prepare the consolidated list of all the candidates and
the voter’s list together with the official ballot, and shall post or publish the same in
the official website of the PCG, in other conspicuous places in the National
Headquarters PCG or other offices/units, and thru a Radio Message for that purpose
before the election.
4. On the day of the election or on the 2 nd day of September 2020, the qualified
voters based on the voter’s list prepared by the O/CG-1 shall cast their vote by filling
out the ballot and shall submit the same thru email at pcgofficersclub@gmail.com
with subject “Official Ballot.” The casting of votes shall start at eight o’clock in the
morning and shall end at five o’clock in the afternoon.
5. As soon as the voting is finished, the ballots shall be printed, count the votes
cast and ascertain the results.
6. When the count has been fully completed, CG1 shall double check the result
and shall proclaim the officers-elect. The same shall be announced through a
publication in the official website of the PCG, in other conspicuous places in the
National Headquarters PCG or other offices/units, and thru a Radio Message for that
purpose.
7. The Officers elected and qualified shall assume office the next day following
the election
.
