4.5 How to Check Transducer Although the transducer used in the DS-70 is an electrostriction type and made of PZT (Plunbum Zirconium Titanate), the insulation resistance between the conductors is almost zero due to the matching transformer being incorporated in the transducer, For a reliable check of the transducer, therefore, it is recommended to perform waveform, impedance and V/I phase checks in addition to the insulation check. 1, Insulation check Disconnect the transducer cable from TB1 of the Main Display, then measure the resistance between conductors. [f the following values are obtained, the transducer is considered normal. Fig.4-8 Waveform check Check that the waveform of the terminal number 1 and 2 for fore transducer (3 and 4 for aft transducer).
