4.5 How to Check Transducer
Although the transducer used in the DS-70 is an electrostriction type
and made of PZT (Plunbum Zirconium Titanate), the insulation resistance
between the conductors is almost zero due to the matching transformer
being incorporated in the transducer, For a reliable check of the
transducer, therefore, it is recommended to perform waveform, impedance
and V/I phase checks in addition to the insulation check.
1, Insulation check
Disconnect the transducer cable from TB1 of the Main Display, then
measure the resistance between conductors. [f the following values
are obtained, the transducer is considered normal.

Waveform check
Check that the waveform of the terminal number 1 and 2 for fore
transducer (3 and 4 for aft transducer). If it is distorted, the
transducer nay be faulty.
