Inspect the gravestone to ensure that it is stable enough for cleaning. If it looks like it’s about to fall apart, don’t touch it! 2. Before starting, take a photo of the gravestone prior to cleaning it. 3. If needed, brush off the leaves, twigs, spider-webs, etc. from the stone. 4. Scrape off the large pieces of moss and other biological growth using the wooden paint sticks or soft plastic scrapers. Do not use metal scrapers or anything that will damage the stone! 5. Completely drench the stone with water. 6. Spray the entire stone down with D/2 Biological Solution and let it sit for around 15-20 minutes. Try to spray from bottom to top to help avoid streaks. 7. After the D/2 has set for 15+ minute minutes, scrub the entire stone with a wet Heavy Duty Scrub Brush (either Natural or Synthetic Bristles). 8. Rinse the stone with water to clear off the majority of the initial dirt and grime. This will show you if you missed any spots. 9. Next, use the All Purpose Scrub Brush to further grub the stone. Try to focus on the main engravings and lettering. 10. Use the Deep Clean Brushes (that look like toothbrushes) to deep clean the letterings and fine details of the engravings. 11. Do a final rinsing of the stone to completely wash away all of the dirt, grime, and biological buildup. 12. Re-spray the entire stone again with D/2, again trying to go from bottom to top and let it sit for several days. 13. After a few weeks or so, re-inspect the stone and possibly re-spray it again if it looks to still have a little of biological buildup on it. 14. After a few months, the D/2 will have worked completely and the stone will be very clean. 15. At this point, I take another photo for your records. 16. Done!
