body fluids and specimens to help physicians to diagnose and treat diseases.
2. A medical technologist work in the laboratory to examine body fluids and specimens to
help physicians diagnose and treat diseases.
3. A graduate of medical technology can have job opportunities as medical technologist
and can also pursue in the education field.
ACTIVITY 2
1. List the Qualifications for Examination based on Section 16 of RA 5527.

Science in Medical Technology or Bachelor of Science in Hygiene conferred by a
recognized school, college or university in accordance with this act and all persons
who graduated from paramedical professions and is actually doing medical technology
for the past five years prior to the enactment of the act provided they meet the
minimum requirement mentioned in section 6 exceeding one year undergraduate

of diseases.
2. Medical technologist examines body fluids and cells looking for pathogenic foreign
microorganisms and runs test to show how the patient is responding to treatments using
technology and are also responsible for preparing specimens for examination.
