Lean construction is a combination of operational research and pratical development in


design and construction with an adaption of lean manufacturing principles and practices to
the end-to-end design andconstructionprocess. Unlike manufacturing,constructionis a project-
based production process.

Industri) dan PT. PP (Pembangunan Perumahan). Aktivitas-aktivitas non-value added
termasuk penyebabnya yang akan dihilangkan dengan Lean Construction karena akan sangat
mempengaruhi keberhasilan suatu proyek, baik dari aspek SOTOBOSORAH (Safety, On
Time, On Budget, On Spec, On Return, All Happy). Semua pihak seharusnya happy, baik
owner, main contractor dan subcontractor. Jika Lean Construction dijalankan dengan benar,
semua pihak akan happy.
