Dear Sirs,

I am writing to request your consent to allow Serco's ATC Manager, Shiv Mohan, to give a presentation at
this year's Institute of Railway Signalling Engineers (IRSE) Aspect Conference in September.

The conference takes place in London and plays host to a wide range of railway Signalling Engineers from
around the world as well as being reported on in the IRSE's publications.

Shiv has been provisionally nominated as a speaker at this year's conference and his proposed presentation
will be given on the topic of The Dubai Metro Signalling and Train Control System

As well as playing a major role in Shiv's personal developement the presentation will also serve to
provide the audience with the success story that is Dubai Metro focusing on the success and
acheivements of the project from inception to date detailing the excellent work of both Serco and the RTA.

I have attached a copy of Shiv's draft abstract which has received approval from the IRSE, he will, subject
to your approval, submit his full paper prior to April 30th - a copy of which will also be sent to you for
approval and comment.

I have also included a copy of the conference programme for your perusal.
