SIDE EFFECTS FROM INFLUENZA VACCINE

Common side effects from the influenza vaccine include:

•Soreness, redness, and/or swelling from the shot

•Headache
•Fever
•Nausea
•Muscle aches

Influenza shot, like other injections, can occasionally cause fainting.

Some studies have found a possible small association of injectable flu vaccine with Guillain-Barré
syndrome (GBS). Overall, these studies estimated the risk for GBS after vaccination as fewer than 1 or
2 cases of GBS per one million people vaccinated. Other studies have not found any association. GBS
is more common following flu illness than following flu vaccination.

KESAN SAMPING DARI SUNTIKAN VAKSIN INFLUENZA

Antara kesan samping yang boleh terjadi daripada suntikan influenza adalah:

• sakit atau kemerahan pada kawasan suntikan

• sakit kepala
• demam
• loya
• sakit otot

Suntikan influenza, seperti suntikan lain mampu menyebabkan pesakit pengsan.

Beberapa penelitian mengaitkan kemungkinan kecil suntikan influenza dengan Sindrom Guillain-Barre,
yang mana risikonya adalah kurang dari 1 ke 2 kes per sejuta individu yang divaksin. Ada penelitian
yang tidak mendapatkan hubungkait antara vaksin influenza dengan sindrom tersebut. Sindrom
Guillain-Barre lebih mudah didapati setelah jangkitan virus flu dibanding setelah suntikan influenza.
