Premise:

Industry experts, in their inputs to PrepComm have always emphasized on the importance of Excel
skills for Summer Internships. Over the years, batches have also given feedback that PrepComm’s Excel
workshop has been extremely helpful for them in acing internships.

Facts:

Based on these facts, PrepComm invites Excel Prodigy, an institute which offers Microsoft Certified
Excel training, to conduct the workshop for the batch of 2020-22 as a part of the Summer Internship
Skilling Program. PrepComm and Excel Prodigy come up with a plan for a 16 hours long workshop
spread across four days from 13/01/2021 to 16/01/2021 as there was no other slot available.
PrepComm has booked slots on all days from 3 PM to 10 PM. All sections are to attend the workshop
in their respective classrooms and Excel Prodigy has appointed one professional instructor for each
section, available from 3 PM to 11 PM. There are no submissions or quizzes scheduled in between,
and the administration has suggested to mandate the workshop for all students.

Issues:

Utkrisht, the sports fest of IIMU, is scheduled from 18/01/2021. There are a total of 82 participants
from the batch of 2019-22 who are a part of some vertical of the Utkrisht team or a player in the IIMU
Cricket, Football, Volleyball or Basketball team. Other than Cricket, all the stadiums have lighting
facilities. There is a lot of resistance from the Utkrisht core committee. They have sent a list of 82
participants they want exempted from the workshop for the preparation of the events.

Questions:

 Discuss among yourself, how you will distribute the 16 hours of workshop among the days
and the time slot allotted.
Please note the mess timings: Lunch (1 PM to 3 PM), Snacks (5 PM to 6 PM), Dinner (8 PM to
10 PM). Mess timings can be extended by 30 minutes max.
