Charlie’s case allows me to learn about the older people’s point of view at times when theyre having a

serious condition that is needed for them to get into a hospital, especially when they’re about to do a
surgery. Knowing their fear on having a surgery really enlightened me, them not wanting to be a burden
to their family makes me questioned why? Are they really a burden for their family? Personally, I think
it’s fair. Raising their children as a child is also hard and might be a burden for them. Still I respect their
decision, especially for Charlie’s case. And in that case, the Doctor must allow them to make their own
decision and decide for themselves. Charlie’s autonomous decision must be respected. This applies to
everyone who’s suffering in the same situation. In the end, im happy that the surgery is a success, the
doctors/nurses did a great job in there. I’m happy for Charlie too.
