Madam I Sir,

Due to administrative exigencies, the calendar for conducting probationer's examination

for Assistant P.F. Commissioner (Prob.) and Enforcement Officers I Accounts Officers (Prob.) during the
year 2019 is hereby revised as follows:-

2. The Training Institute - wise Examination Centres for the candidates and the combined
examination programme for the APFCs and EOs/AOs Probationer's Examination scheduled from
10.06.2019 to 14.06.2019 is attached as Annexure - A & B respectively.

3. - List of APFCs -and-EOs/AOs who are to appear infhe-Probationary -examination

scheduled from 10.06.2019 to 14.06.2019 is enclosed as Annexure-C. In case of any discrepancy in Place
of posting, Name etc. of the candidate the matter should be brought to the notice of Examination Section,
Head Office immediately at rpfc.exam(ro,epfindia.gov.in.

4. The Probationary Examination for Direct Recruit APFCs and EO.s/ A Os is conducted in
accordance with the Employees' Provident Fund (Probationers) Examination Scheme, 1997 (Annexure-
D) as amended from time to time. The details of the examination e.g. syllabus, qualifying marks,
conditions for exemption for each paper, etc. are given in the said examination Scheme. However, the
candidates may be intimated that the said syllabus shall include all the modification and amendments, etc.
made subsequently and the questions shall be based on current provisions.

5. All the ACCs (Zonal Office) / PDNASS / All ZTis and Regional P.F.
Commissioners/OIC in-charge of ROs/DOs/ Special State Offices are requested to bring to the notice of
DR APFCs & EOs/AOs posted under their charge respectively, to the contents of this circular. This
circular may please be displayed on the Notice Board of Head Office / Zonal Offices / Regional Offices /
District Offices / PDNASS / Zonal Vigilance Directorates and All Zonal Training Institutes. Further,
PDNASS and All ZTis are requested to make suitable provisions / arrangements on the scheduled dates
of the said examination.

6. Separate instructions will be issued for conduct of examinations scheduled from

04.11.2019 to 08.11.2019.

7. PDNASS is requested to conduct the Computer Proficiency Test for all the Probationers
APFCs in the second half on any day(s) of the examination.

intendent (Probationers) Examination Scheme, 1993·and Lower
Division Clerk (Probationers) Examination Scheme, 1993 with
certain modificatio~s.

2. The Employees• Provident Fund (Probationers) Exami-

nation ~cheme, 1997 ~iil c0me into force from the date of issue
of this letter, i.e.7.11.1997. , With the notification of this
Scheme the existing Assistant Provident.Fund.CommissJoner
(Probationers) Exa~ination Scheme, 1991, Enforcement Officer/
Assistant Accounts Officer/ Superintendent (Probationers) Exami-
nation Scheme,01993 and Lower Division Clerk (Probationers)
Examination Scheme, 1993 shall cease to hav~ any eff~ct. How-
ever, those probationers who have already appeared in any of
th8 Probationers Examinations under the old Schemes will conti-
nue to be governed·under that Scheme.

( i) This Scheme may be called the Employees'Provident Fund

(ii) It shall come into force from such date as may be
notified by the Central Provident Fund Conunissioner.

2. Definition:
(a) 'Examination 1 means Pro~ationers Examination -condu-cted --
under this Scheme.
(b) 'Employee' means a person-appointed against a sanctioned
post in the Organisation.
(c) 'Organisation' means Employees'Provident Fund or-qan.i s at.Icn, . -
(d) 'Probationer' means any employee appointed to a post in
the Organisation by direct recruitment and is required
to be on probation for a period specified in the relevant
Recruitment Rules or appointment order,
(e) 'Paper' means any paper of the examination specified in
the schedule to the Scheme.
(f) 'Schedule' means a schedule annexed to this Scheme, and
(g) 'Syllabus' moans the syllabus prescribed for the examin- I '

ation.

(i) Examination is open to all employees appointed in the

Organisation against direct recruitment quota vacancies
in the cadr~of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner
.or Enforcement Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer/
Superintendent or Lower Division Clerk and placed on
probation on appointment. Qualifying this examination
is a pre-condition for direct recruits for successful
completion of the period of pr,abation.
(ii) Qualifying the Examination under this Scheme within
the prescribed period is one of the conditions for
satisfactory completion of the period of probation prescri-
bed in the relevant Recruitment Rules or Letter of
Appointment. In case a probationer fails to qualify the
Examination under this Scheme within the prescribed period

. In case the candidate fails to qualify the examination
within three chances, as stated above, the question of
further extension of his probation for a period of one
year or termination of his services will be examined by
the competent authority keeping in view all the relevant
facts and circumstances of the oase, In case of extension
of period of probation, the probationer may be allowed
further two additional chances to qualify the examination.
(ii) A probationer shall not be entitled to for his annual
increment until, he qualifies the examination.

n~tion, the statement of marks of all the candidates appearing

t.r e o t ed as conf idehtial and !J;rnded by· a· responsible· officer
and the mark list should be supplied only to the candidate
concerned who appeared in the Examination.

(a)If a candidate desires retotalling of his marks
and·-verif ication of the· fact· that· all answers

examiner, he should submit an application with a

through his Regional Office/ Sub-regional Office
for under taking the retotalling and verification.
(b) Such ap~lications must be submitted within two
weeks from the date of communication of the
respective results. Any application submitted
thereafter shall not be entertained.
(c) Fe8 paid for retotalling uf marks will not be
refunded in any circumstances.
