Chapter 2: Do case Heavenly Chocolates Web Site Transactions (end of chapter):

This is a good exercise in data summary and in the identification of key descriptive
measures such as central values, spread and other important measures of
performance. NOTE: for items 2 and 3 you must use a Pivot Table function from
Excel.

Chapter 7:  Do problems 9 (file DixieShowtime), 13 (file is Repair) and 17 (file is

CorporateBonds). Do case Alumni Giving (file AlumniGiving). These are typical
(and critical) problems in regression which you would encounter in many
industries.

Format: submit your work in Microsoft Excel ONLY.  See the schedule for due
dates. Submit only one file for the assignment.  Label each sheet accordingly for
multiple problems.  Be neat and concise.  Business analytics also involves data
preparation and information organization, therefore a report should be easy to
understand and interpret.  Use labels, colors, and an appropriate information layout
to help you in this process.

When required to interpret results, be precise and properly report output values in
your written analysis. Generic interpretation will lower the score.  Output alone
will lower score.  Analysis alone will lower score.

As a rule, label your answers as given in the problem/case description.   If the

answer cannot be identified with the question, it will lower the score.
